International Women's Day at London Gatwick 🌟 Baroness Margaret Ford led an inspiring keynote speech at our annual International Women's Day event, hosted by Equal Plane, our gender equality Business Resource Group. Baroness Ford provided the audience with an insight into her career journey and how she became the first female Chair of London Gatwick. 200 people attended the event to celebrate Equal Plane's successes over the last year, including establishing a menopause working group, improving parental leave policies and launching a development programme empowering women to succeed. We were also proud to welcome Olympic champion Dame Katherine Grainger, who inspired the entire room with her story. We can't wait to see all the exciting things in store for Equal Plane over the next 12 months. #IWD2025

We’re investing £140m to add eight new aircraft gates to our North Terminal, which will see 7.5m passengers use the new gates each year.    Designed with sustainability at its core, the project is on track to: 🌍 Reduce carbon by around 52% from original design 🌍 Achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ 🌍 Save 12,000 busy journeys on the airfield every year   This work forms part of our plans to increase capacity and boost resilience, as we stand ready to deliver our Northern Runway plan.   Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/e8Y4krHy
