Conference season is in full swing and so are we. Great to see Eric Zie leading the charge with techUK on shaping the net zero plan for tech firm and it looks like Jennifer Hiley networked her socks off. Delighted to meet so many like minded souls who are recognising that we can make a difference to the impact of tech.
Reflecting on techUK Tech and NetZero conference on Wednesday, where Eric Zie from our start-up GoCodeGreen | B Corp™ hosted an engaging and insightful breakout session on 'the techUK net zero plan for tech firms'. I loved the fact that the first panel was all female led discussing 'the role of digital tech in delivering net zero and growth' which was extremely interesting and the panel on 'the climate and AI challenges' was highly engaging. Overall a plethora of great sessions covering a wide spectrum of topics, some of them falling into the 'energy consumption of data centre' conundrum when there are so many other ways in which digitisation will help to accelerate the green transition, including just making what we have so much more efficient... all in all very inspiring, thanks to techUK! Met some interesting people/companies too Klaus Dalgaard Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Tom Moran Colt Technology Services, Mark Bjornsgaard Deep Green, Jennifer Marks Government Digital Service, Anthony Levy Circularity First, Ben Morse The University of Edinburgh
