With the funding we receive we'll be launching the Tern ReWear Pilot, providing 10 London-based Retailers with the support they need to launch their own trade-in and resale programmes. Yesterday was the last day of Secondhand September and the first day of the 7th annual Circular Economy Week, hosted by ReLondon. Complementing a full agenda of inspirational speakers, networking and roundtables, Tern Eco was one of 10 startups invited to exhibit at Sustainable Ventures beautiful event space located in London’s old County Hall - to demonstrate circularity in action. From material reuse across the built environment, food waste, packaging and textiles, to skills development and circular business models - there were some absolutely brilliant innovators in the room. It's MSME Day! 🎉 The United Nations General Assembly designated June 27 as “Micro-, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises Day” to raise awareness of the critical role and contribution made by these businesses towards sustainable development.  MSMEs account for a staggering 90% of businesses, 60-70% of employment, and 50% of GDP worldwide. They are the backbone of our societies and livelihoods. Agile and purpose-driven, MSMEs have the potential to transform economies, foster job creation, and promote equitable growth, but they need support. That's our call. Free next Tuesday? ⏰ June 25th @ 3PM As part of London Climate Action Week, Mastercard are hosting what is set to be a brilliant event with speakers from ReLondon, Ingka Group, Sea Forest, Pledgeball, UEFA and Tern Eco. To kick things off, Wayne Hubbard FCIWM, chief executive officer of ReLondon, will share current strategies to transition London to a low-carbon, circular economy with a deep dive into research and insights. After which, there will be a series of 3 flash panels to discuss shifting consumer behavior (including our favourite controversial subject: the Say/Do gap), the role the sporting industry can play, and how nature-based solutions can help connect communities, customers and corporations.
