GPE is a FTSE 250 property investment and development company owning around £2.5 billion of office, retail and residential space in central London. Our portfolio consists of 44 properties totalling 2.6 million sq ft, with a development programme totalling 1.5 million sq ft, 40% of the existing portfolio. Our purpose is to unlock potential, creating sustainable space for London to thrive. We aim to deliver superior returns by unlocking the often hidden potential in commercial real estate in central London, creating great spaces for occupiers and long-term value to our stakeholders.

    We are pleased to announce the appointment of William Eccleshare as a Non-Executive Director and Chair Designate with effect from 1 May 2025. William will succeed Richard Mully as Chair of the Board from the conclusion of the Company’s 2025 AGM in July, when Richard will retire from the Board after more than eight years of service. Additionally, GPE announces that, having joined the Board in October 2016, Nick Hampton will step down from the Board and its Committees on 3 April 2025. Karen Green, who joined the Board as Non-Executive Director in 2023, will take over the role of Senior Independent Director from 4 April 2025. “I am delighted that William has been selected to succeed me as Chair. William brings significant executive and non-executive experience. His breadth of knowledge and skills, including his strong background in marketing, business transformation, growth and innovation, will be invaluable to GPE’s Board. I know he will provide effective leadership of the Board and great support to Toby Courtauld and our management team, who welcome his appointment. It has been a privilege to serve on GPE’s Board for over eight years and I look forward to working closely with William over the coming months to ensure a smooth handover.” Richard Mully, GPE Chair “I am excited to be joining the GPE Board as its future Chair.     Future proofing at wells&more 🌱⚡ A significant step forward in decarbonising our portfolio, this project at wells&more replaces the existing HVAC system with a fully electric, energy-efficient solution. 🔑 Key highlights: ✅ Air & water source heat pumps – 2 multipipe air sourced and 2 water source heat pumps working in a cascaded system. ✅ All-electric transition – no more on-site gas, eliminating emissions. ✅ All the electricity we procure is through Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) to ensure this transition maximises the reduction in carbon. ✅ Smart efficiency – a BMS package from Trane ensures optimised performance and monitoring. ✅ Completed in October 2024 – the system is live and energy performance is being tracked. This project is not just about improving operational efficiency—it reflects our commitment to future-ready, fully electric buildings.

    Following the announcement of our Circularity Scores back in November of last year, we have been really encouraged by the level of engagement and conversations we have been able to start across the industry. Our Senior Sustainability Lead, Frank Blande , was invited to present at the first Finishes and Interiors Sector Sustainability Leadership session of 2025 to talk through our sustainability journey with a particular focus on our ambitions for the circular economy. It was a great opportunity to talk to representatives from the finishes and interiors sector, as well as hear about all of the positive initiatives going on in the fit out space.
