The tragic death of Frankie Jules Hough and her unborn baby was recently on Crimewatch Live, with her family paying tribute to her. Adil Iqbal (11/02/2001) of Hope Street, Accrington was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison in July 2023 after being found guilty of death by dangerous driving, though this was later increased to 15 years. He was also disqualified from driving for 13 years. DS Andrew Page, said: "This is something we are seeing more of, and it's not worth it to drive in a dangerous manner on our roads. Iqbal filmed himself driving over 120mph and the amount of likes you get are not worth the devastation that you cause when you crash into a car such as Frankie's." As a result of Operation Castle, we recorded 11,246 burglaries last year, which amounts to 33% fewer than three years ago. We have also arrested 2,305 people on suspicion of burglary in 2024, which is a 25% increase compared with 2021 and the operation works by using a number of resources across the force. These numbers are not just statistics to us, each number represents a victim that has ultimately suffered at the hands of burglars in Greater Manchester, and our goal is to reduce this even more.
