Meet Fergus Evans, our Office Portfolio Director, who shares the story behind the transformation of 134 Edmund Street into the Billiards Building - our net-zero workspace in the heart of Birmingham. As part of a £35m investment in upgrading our 500,000 sq. ft regional office portfolio, this 79,000 sq. ft building has undergone a transformative retrofit, elevating its EPC from E to A. Now fully electric-powered, it’s designed to support environmental and workplace wellbeing, with features like a café, gym, yoga studio, and rooftop terrace. We’re committed to changing the way we manage our green spaces, with a goal of achieving a significant net biodiversity gain across our London portfolio by 2030. Meet Hugo, one of our senior gardeners, who is part of the team transforming our 22 gardens and other green spaces. Together, they’ve been busy creating species-rich wildflower meadows and planting the first new orchard in central London for a long time. These new habitats are thriving with a variety of plants and pollinators, supporting wildlife right in the heart of the city. Over the last year, we’ve achieved a 3.7% uplift in biodiversity across our existing assets, putting us well on track to meet our 2030 goals. Learn more about how we’re making a real difference for biodiversity in London in our UK property business' Sustainability Progress Report: https://bit.ly/3YvlsBr. #Biodiversity #Sustainability #Nature #PeopleAndPlanetPositive

Steph Ball has been promoted to lead our UK residential lending strategy, as we look to build on the 3,200 homes we’ve supported since 2022. Marking one year of supporting social impact organisations, we're flying the flag at Fivefields, our flexible workspace and co-working community. Developed in collaboration with the Westminster Foundation and operated and managed by x+why, the space is specifically designed to support charities and social impact organisations. As with all design elements of the building, the flag has carefully considered credentials: produced using 100% recycled materials, including two plastic bottles per square metre, the flag also features EnhanceAir technology to help absorb excess NOx and VOC levels from the air. Meet Natasha Forde, Head of Digital Solutions and Co-Chair of our Race Equality Network. In line with this year's Black History Month theme, "Reclaiming Narratives," Natasha shares her experience as a Black woman in tech, shedding light on both the progress we’ve made and the work that still lies ahead for the industry. "Being a black woman in tech is hard. Being a black woman in tech at the level I am is even harder. But at Grosvenor, I feel like I fit and can help lead the way for the rest of the industry to follow suit." As we conclude this year’s Big Help Out summer volunteering programme, we’re proud to share the impact we've made. Over the past few months, 181 volunteers contributed a combined total of 1,358 hours to restoring outdoor areas in five Westminster schools. Together with Groundwork and Westminster City Council, we’ve improved 2,410 sq m of land, planted over 1,000 new trees, and helped nearly 900 children reconnect with nature. Thank you to everyone involved in making this programme a success. Learn more about the broader Greener Futures initiative here: https://lnkd.in/e3mKwwnW.
