🚀 This Tuesday, we hosted an incredibly inspiring roundtable focused on the latest trends in MusicTech. From the impact of AI on music creation and consumption to the future of live music experiences, we dived deep into the evolving landscape of the industry. We’re excited to share some key takeaways from the conversation: ⚡ GenAI is currently drawing significant attention (and investment), but there are other equally transformative AI use cases in Musictech that deserve recognition. ⚡ The culture of licensing/royalties and right management in the music industry is paving the way for fair usage of AI-enabled and user-generated content, accredited by labels. ⚡ AI has the potential to serve as a powerful toolset to enhance human creativity, enabling higher quality and greater personalisation in fan engagement. ⚡ Transparency will be a key factor in the adoption of these new technologies, with a focus on storytelling and creating immersive experiences. ⚡ Audiovisuals and live experiences present significant opportunities to expand beyond the traditional MusicTech scope by integrating adjacent technologies. A huge thank you to Morvan Boury of Sony Music Entertainment, Vaby Endrojono-Ellis of Warner Music Group and Randel Bryan of SXSW London for sharing their expertise and to everyone who contributed their valuable insights: Matt Cartmell of Music Technology UK Chloe Dagenais-Mignault of MusicTeam® Amalie Briden of BPI (British Phonographic Industry) Alex Brees of un:hurd music James Morrison of Planet Fans Gus Nisbet of MassiveMusic Ken Lythgoe of DAACI And a big shoutout to our amazing team for orchestrating this breakfast morning: Holly Hunter Bennett, Louise Conolly-Smith, Médéric Demouchy and Andrea Hoffmann

🚆 And that’s a wrap on the first-ever Grow Global Regional Roadshow! 🚆 Over the last two days, we traveled from London to #Birmingham and #Glasgow, bringing together 50+ UK scaleups, corporate innovators, and ecosystem leaders for non-stop networking, innovation, and discovery ✨ We kicked things off aboard Avanti West Coast, where the networking started right on the train! Arriving at Shoosmiths' stunning Birmingham office, we were joined by innovators from NatWest Group, Shell, Lloyd's, Lendlease, CBRE, and more for a day packed with collaboration and ecosystem insights 💼 After a warm welcome from Janet Coyle CBE, we dived into the West Midlands ecosystem thanks to Jon Baty from West Midlands Growth Company and learned about their Growth Programme from Ashlene Smith. Next up, we heard insights from Chris Woods (CyberQ Group) and Yiannis Maos MBE (TechWM) in a fantastic fireside-chat hosted by Richa Ghai Chauhan highlighting the region’s exciting opportunities! We were then treated to an expert talk on scaling to the US from Bradley Doline at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, offering invaluable tips for global growth 🌎 Following some delicious lunch, Iryna Chekanava (Lloyd's) and Vikram Seth AMEI (Shell) did a panel session hosted by Allie Laurent to delve into how scaleups can best win corporate clients, providing further fascinating insight into different ways of business acceleration. The day concluded with a series of corporate and scaleup matchmaking roundtables 🙌 And that was just day 1... Next stop: Glasgow! 🚉 After some much needed rest, we arrived ready for day 2 at KPMG, where we had a sunny welcome from Glasgow and Amy Burnett ☀️ We dove straight into the Scottish ecosystem with a keynote by Graham Smith from Glasgow City Council followed by a deep dive into Scotland tech and innovation by Alisdair Gunn of Glasgow City Innovation District. Afterwards, the scaleups took the floor and delivered phenomenal 1-minute pitches to those in the room, before Amy Burnett hosted a brilliant panel session with Allan Cannon from Krucial and Emma L. from Startup Grind discussing scaling up in Scotland and how Allan has utilised the ecosystem to take his incredible business global. Next up, Richa Ghai Chauhan again expertly moderated a fireside chat with Oliver from Par Equity discussing how to navigate funding for global expansion. After a great networking lunch, Andrew Tibbitts introduced the innovation fellows and facilitated yet another corporate and scaleup matchmaking roundtable session that sparked exciting new opportunities for collaboration 💡 And just like that, the roadshow came to an end 🚆 What a fantastic journey and we can't wait to do it all again soon! Huge thanks to the West Midlands Growth Company and Scottish Enterprise for your support in pulling this roadshow together!
