Next up in our RSAW Welsh Architecture Awards 2025 shortlist journey! 🌟 We’re excited to showcase the Hafod Morfa Copperworks Distillery & Visitor Centre, designed by GWP Architecture and Archer Humphryes. This incredible project revives Swansea’s historic 12-acre Hafod-Morfa Copperworks site, turning the derelict Victorian Powerhouse into the Penderyn Distillery. The Grade II listed buildings are brought back to life with a stunning distillery, barrel store, and a new visitor centre. Our RSAW Awards 2025 shortlist is here ⬇️ The transformation of a Victorian powerhouse into a whiskey distillery, the conversion of a church into a Welsh language theatre, and a modern family home set within the bounds of the Brecon Beacons National Park, are among five shortlisted projects. A great early end to the week - secured planning permission achieved for our client ateb Group . A scheme consisting of 67 new build houses at Llangwm, Haverfordwest. The sustainably built homes will be available to local people in search of social and intermediate rented homes, as well as for purchase under a local cost home ownership initiative. The Penderyn Distillery & Visitor Centre in Swansea has been shortlisted for an RSAW Award! We delivered the restoration of 2no. Grade II Listed Buildings alongside the construction of a contemporary new build visitor centre at the Hafod Morfa Copperworks for City & County of Swansea.
