About us
Together, we are bringing freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery by identifying victims, supporting survivors and preventing exploitation. Hope for Justice is a charity working to bring freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery with an effective and proven multi-disciplinary model. Our wholly owned social enterprise, Slave-Free Alliance, provides services to global companies and public bodies seeking to protect their operations and supply chains against the risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation. We have active programmes in the UK, USA, Ethiopia and Uganda, reaching approximately 200,000 adults and children a year. Slave-Free Alliance also works in Australia.

Hope for Justice will soon publish a new report looking at how the UK can more effectively help survivors of modern slavery to achieve freedom, independence and justice. For the report, we asked people with lived experience of exploitation what ‘justice’ means to them. It was clear that, for many, justice expands far beyond notions of criminal justice or compensation; it is about hope and freedom. One survivor consultant said: "People often think justice is when you’re free from your traffickers and taken to a safehouse and you’re safe, it ends there, and maybe your traffickers get caught by police. But a sense of justice is to be able to dream again, to be able to have aspirations, to work and be independent, to feel emotions again, to be connected with nature, and to have a sense of purpose. Whilst having a safe space and stable accommodation is great, a real sense of justice is when you can hope again.” The report will go live on our website on Tuesday 15th October, coinciding with Anti-Slavery Week.

During the #ExtremeChallengeDrakensberg trek in South Africa, we're asking members of the team why they chose to put themselves through all the training and discomfort and disruption to their everyday lives, and what this trip means to them. In this clip, we hear from Paul Blyth, who is trying to push through to the summit despite food poisoning, no sleep and sickness. Chip in to support Paul's fundraising here! https://lnkd.in/eGYmY9Y3
