We are excited to welcome Dr Felipe Tobar to the I-X Team! 🎉 Felipe (Department of Mathematics) joined I-X at the beginning of this month from the University of Chile, where he was part of the Center for Mathematical Modeling and the Initiative for Data & AI. On Friday, we had the great pleasure of hosting the visit of AI Grid, a research initiative, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, that aims to strengthen collaborations between young talents in the field of artificial intelligence. During the visit, the AI Grid delegation learnt about the cutting-edge research on safe AI conducted by I-X, participated in lab demonstration, and was introduced to AlChemy Hub, AISuperConnector, and MedTechOne initiatives. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from The National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF). During the visit, Professor Sophia Yaliraki provided an overview of cross-cutting research conducted at I-X. Following this, our academics, Dr Gege Wen, Dr Dandan Zhang, and Dr Sarab Sethi, presented their work in energy transition, health innovation, and ecosystem sensing.
