Mark Whittaker is promoted to Associate! . We are delighted to announce the well-deserved promotion of Mark to the position of Associate following his significant contribution to jmarchitects! . Mark became a valuable member of our Manchester team back in January 2013 and his commitment and achievements have significantly contributed to the success of our studio and many completed projects. He has been an asset to jmarchitects and we are confident he will bring even greater success to our team! . “The Manchester studio is delighted to announce the promotion of Mark Whittaker to the position of Associate. Mark joined the studio at the start of 2013 and has been part of our evolution for the subsequent decade plus growing from an assistant architect, learning his craft across multiple sectors, progressing to Project Lead on several of our notable projects including a clutch of historically important and complex schemes in Bolton; the remodelling of The Octagon Theatre; refurbishment of the listed Library & Egyptology Museum and two phases of the Town Hall refurbishment. Currently Mark is leading our £200m Wigan Town Centre redevelopment; a scheme that we won in competition in 2020 with our developer client Cityheart – a true mixed use scheme comprising 11 building elements over a large basement and new public realm podium. His relaxed demeanour belies a real capacity for detail across multiple sector elements and his generally unflappable character is a client favourite. Minet School is Now Complete! . jmarchitects are so excited to share that the project to extend and refurbish Minet Infants and Juniors Schools is now complete. As architects, we worked with the contractors, Morgan Sindall, to develop this DfE funded project, which was carried out in two phases, starting in 2022.  . “After many years of hard work, we are delighted to see our project for Minet Infants and Juniors through to completion!
