This time last week, I was back in Westminster celebrating the launch of the Great British Spring Clean with our wonderful partners Keep Britain Tidy and Keep Scotland Beautiful. Recognising the dedication of our volunteers is always a privilege, and it was an honour to present an award which celebrated the incredible work of local partners. It was also wonderful to hear from Minister for Nature Mary Creagh CBE MP, to hear her vision for a cleaner, greener Britain. The real stars of this campaign, though – and of everything we do at Keep Wales Tidy – are the 25,000 volunteers we work with across Wales. They are the heart of our mission, and Wales would be a far poorer place without them. In 2024, #LitterHeroes in Wales, England and Scotland pledged to pick a staggering 425,626 bags of litter, and I'd like to think we can do even better in 2025. In Wales, the Spring Clean Cymru campaign runs from 21 March through 6 April (kicking off with a World Record attempt, no less!), and we’d love for you to be part of it. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eW3hw3nB - Wythnos diwethaf, roeddwn i yn San Steffan yn dathlu lansiad Gwanwyn Glân Cymru gyda'n partneriaid Keep Britain Tidy a Keep Scotland Beautiful. Mae cydnabod ymroddiad ein gwirfoddolwyr bob amser yn fraint, ac roedd yn anrhydedd cyflwyno gwobr i ddathlu eu gwaith. O ran Keep Wales Tidy, rydym yn ffodus iawn i gael cefnogaeth 25,000 o wirfoddolwyr ledled Cymru. Nhw yw calon ein cenhadaeth, ac mae eu hymroddiad yn amhrisiadwy – byddai Cymru yn le llawer tlotach hebddynt.. Bydd yr ymgyrch yn rhedeg o 21 Mawrth i 6 Ebrill, ac hoffwn wahodd pawb i gymryd rhan. Elevating sustainable innovation through cinematic storytelling

The Closed-Loop Shop Trailer & Teaser. Sam's shop in Saundersfoot is special. Taking litter that washes up on the beach and turning it into premium, reusable, and exciting items. Bags made from inflatables, wallets made from fire-fighters hoses, and lamps made from sea glass. To meet someone like Sam at Ecoast in Saundersfoot, someone who is just dedicating their life to tidying, restoring and protecting the environment was a real joy. It's rare to interview someone and feel moved and inspired simultaneously. I'd like to thank Jack Davies and Keep Wales Tidy for the opportunity to tell Sam's story and the incredible work of the Pembrokeshire Litter Champions. Excited to share the full story and Mini-Documentary soon! #Sustainability #EcoInnovation #CircularEconomy #MiniDocumentary #Storytelling #KeepWalesTidy

If you'd like to join, please meet me at Sarn Helen car park or Wigs & Co, Cwmann and I'll explain the route to everybody. It will be accessible for all, and everyone is welcome. Please remember to bring gloves, high-vis and your own litter pickers, too. Teas and coffee will be provided after. It is with great sadness that we share news of the loss of colleague and friend, Matt Bunt, who left us unexpectedly last week. Matt was the heart and soul of the Eco-Schools team at Keep Wales Tidy for almost 20 years. Dedicated, kind, and always smiling, his passion for the environment, both in his work and personal life, was infectious. A devoted family man, Matt balanced his professional commitment with his love for those closest to him. He was a true friend to many of us, and his presence will be missed beyond words. Matt, we promise to make you proud and continue the work that you were so passionate about. Your legacy will live on through the positive impact you made on our work and in our hearts. -------------- Gyda thristwch mawr rhannwn y newyddion am farwolaeth cydweithiwr a chyfaill, Matt Bunt, a’n gadawodd ni yn annisgwyl wythnos diwethaf. Bu Matt yn ganolog i’r tîm Eco-Sgolion yn Cadwch Gymru’n Daclus am bron i 20 mlynedd. Roedd yn ymroddedig, yn garedig a bob amser yn gwenu, ac roedd ei angerdd tuag at yr amgylchedd yn heintus. Yn ddyn teuluol, roedd Matt yn cydbwyso ei ymrwymiad proffesiynol gyda’i gariad tuag at y rheiny oedd agosaf ato. Roedd yn ffrind da i lawer ohonom, a does dim geiriau i fynegi cymaint y byddwn yn gweld eisiau ei bresenoldeb. Matt, rydym yn addo dy wneud yn falch ohonom a pharhau â’r gwaith yr oeddet mor angerddol yn ei gylch. Bydd dy waddol yn parhau trwy dy effaith gadarnhaol ar ein gwaith ac yn ein calonnau.
