Our 70-bed care home for Care UK in Saffron Walden has reached a major milestone! We marked the occasion with a topping-out ceremony, where the Mayor of Saffron Walden, Councillor Deryk Eke, laid the final roof tile before joining #TeamKori and the Care UK team for a tour of the home. Set to open in Spring 2026, Bailey Lodge will offer high-quality residential, dementia, and respite care for up to 70 residents. The home will feature spacious dining rooms, a café, a cinema, and a hair and beauty salon, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. 👷♀️ Celebrating Women in Construction Week & International Women’s Day! Elaine Kendall, our Head of Sustainability and Communications is also a Go Construct STEM Ambassador and Climate Ambassador. 🌍 Today, Elaine joined four inspirational women at the Ark Schools International Women’s Day Women in STEM Panel Event, engaging with 810 primary school children across Birmingham, London, and Portsmouth. The aim of the event was to broaden understanding of the different roles available within STEM, help challenge gender stereotypes and promote equality, and inspire young minds to consider a career in STEM. 🔬 Elaine gave a presentation about what she does, her background and pathway into construction and the types of projects she works on. She also had to provide 5 emojis related to her job for the students to try and guess her role, with some coming very close! It’s important to showcase the career opportunities in our industry during #WomenInConstructionWeek, as well as highlighting the amazing female leaders in this field ahead of #InternationalWomensDay. 💚 #ThinkingDifferently #IWD #WomenInSTEM #FutureBuilders #STEMAmbassador #BreakingBarriers
