  • LEB Construction is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our latest project, bringing new housing and a refurbished charity shop to Aberystwyth! Project Details: • Location: 27 Chalybeate St, Aberystwyth • Client: Barcud Cyf • Employer's Agent: Ivor Russell Partnership • Contract Value: £600,000.00 • Contract Type: JCT Intermediate with Contractor's Design Overview: Full refurbishment of four flats and a commercial ground-floor retail space. What We Did: LEB Construction completed an extensive refurbishment of a town centre property owned by Barcud Housing Association. Barcud needed to modernise the property and refurbish the four flats to provide more efficient layouts and a high standard of living for future tenants. Project Scope: Barcud appointed LEB Construction to deliver the scheme, which was designed by their architect, Huw Evans. The refurbishment included: • Demolition: Safe removal of deteriorated structures. • Asbestos Removal: Safely removing hazardous materials. • Structural Improvements: Enhancing the building’s integrity. • Windows and Doors: Installing new, energy-efficient units. • New Finishes Throughout: Upgrading interiors to a high standard. Logistical Challenges: This project presented significant logistical challenges due to its town center location, lack of laydown space for materials, and no onsite parking. Results: Despite these challenges, the project was completed successfully, and the refurbished flats achieved an EPC rating of A upon completion, signifying excellent energy efficiency. Ground Floor Retail Space: The ground floor retail space has been handed back to the Care Society, a subsidiary of Barcud, enabling it to continue operating from this prime location. This project highlights LEB Construction's ability to overcome logistical difficulties and deliver high-quality refurbishments that meet client needs and improve tenants' living standards. #Construction #ProjectCompletion #LEBConstruction #Aberystwyth #Ceredigion

  • 🌟 Progress Update: Aberporth Primary School! 🌟 We're excited to share some snaps from our ongoing project at Aberporth Primary School for Ceredigion County Council! The site team is making excellent progress. We are ahead of programme and have worked closely with the school to minimise disruption and ensure safe interfaces between our work and the school's day-to-day operations. We have now completed both Frames 2 and 4. Aluk Technical Engineers have audited the Aluk SL52 Curtain Walling System installation to date and have been impressed by the quality and attention to detail taken by our in-house installation team. The passenger lift is now installed, and finishing works to the school’s reception area will be completed during the May half-term. The next tasks include a replacement pitched roof using Britmet lightweight tiles and a 300m2 flat roof using Rubberbond Fleeceback EPDM. We will then move to Frames 3 and 1 before the handover and completion of the works. We are approved installers of the following systems. ✅ Aluk Curtain Wall System ✅ Britmet Roofing Systems ✅ Rubberbond Fleeceback EPDM Roof Waterproofing Systems LEB Construction's dedicated, skilled, and trained team carries out all these work packages in-house, meaning LEB Construction maintains tight control over programme delivery and quality. A big thanks goes to our trade fabrication partner, Fentrade, who has provided us with a fantastic level of service. Thanks also to our design partners for their expert draughtsmanship. If you have any tender enquiries, please forward to estimates@lebconstruction.co.uk for a professional service delivered by our skilled direct labour force.
