    Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay! 🌍🧠 Acknowledging mental health and well-being is important to us at Lidl GB. Our colleagues have access to a dedicated Wellbeing Hub, including our Employee Assistance Programme, CareFirst. CareFirst offer confidential assistance with everything from managing personal challenges to legal advice and is available to our colleagues 24/7 should they need help. 📞 We want our colleagues to speak openly about mental health and encourage them to speak to their line manager or Regional Engagement Consultant who are always on hand to listen and provide support. 👂 That’s not all, we’ll also be supporting the NSPCC from 24th October-14th November by selling Crayola's Tube of Activities. For every pack sold, £1 will be donated to the NSPCC’s Childline service to help support children’s mental health. 🖍💚 #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #NSPCC #ChildLine

    As we always say: ‘When they ask for a Lidl bit, give them a Lidl bit more!’ - and on this occasion, we mean that literally. It’s been a huge launch day for the Lidl GB team, with our collaboration with Martine McCutcheon and HUNSNET going live across our social channels, radio stations and traditional media. It’s easy to overthink a campaign, but the right team can really champion an idea to make sure there's no sacrifice of the creative or loss of joy. In this campaign, we went all in and I’m so proud of the launch today. Huge congrats to all of the Lidl team behind this, with Coolr creating an absolutely incredible video campaign, and OMD UK and DRUM getting us over the finish line. And, as ever, I'm always happy to cement my very niche skill of writing parody song lyrics...

    🌍 Our mission: Net-zero by 2050 🌍 At Lidl, we are reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050 - across all Lidl countries and along our entire value chain. In doing so, we are making a significant contribution to protecting our planet. What we’re doing here at Lidl GB: ⬇️  🔋 Renewable energy: We purchase 100%* of the electricity we use from renewable sources since 2022. 🚛 Sustainable logistics: We’re proudly working towards reducing emissions in our logistics, with over a quarter of our delivery fleet now powered by biogas. ♻️ Circular economy: As part of the Schwarz Group's REset Plastic strategy, we are committed to closed loops and the conscious use of resources. We’re proud to package our products with circularity in mind – 95% of our packaging can now be recycled, reused, refilled, or renewed, and we’re working towards 100%. 🌱 Supplier engagement: We work closely with our suppliers who are responsible for 75% of product-related emissions, supporting them in setting themselves a climate target by 2026 in accordance with the criteria of the Science Based Targets Initiative. 🚜 Promoting sustainable farming practices: We’re working with one of our main beef suppliers, Dunbia, to reduce emissions from our supply chain by 28% per tonne of product by 2030. To support this goal, we’ve also launched the Sustainable Beef Group, which helps farmers adopt greener practices and offers financial rewards for reducing carbon emissions.     "very intelligent, but often distracted", "talks too much", "she's just an anxious overachiever"   These were how I was described growing up.   I got my ADHD diagnosis aged 22.   Today is the start of ADHD Awareness month and I had the opportunity to share my experience with the whole of Lidl GB. Although this was a huge step for me personally, I was really excited to be able to share my story in an organisation that values Diversity, so much so, I'm able to share on LinkedIn too.   What I want people to know about ADHD is:   - Unmasking isn't easy, it doesn’t happen overnight and it’s a journey that will teach you so much about yourself and the environment you're in.   - "Everyone has ADHD now", we've all seen the graph about increasing numbers of left-handers right? When there is awareness and acceptance, people are comfortable about talking about their true selves!   - Neurodiversity comes in all shapes and sizes, there is no 'one size fits all'.     We’re investing £1bn in British eggs 🥚🐔 To ensure the future success of British free-range egg farms, we are proud to announce a £1 billion investment into the British egg industry over the next 5 years 👊 📈 Free-range egg sales have jumped by over a third since last year, so as we work towards exclusively stocking free-range British eggs, we have also launched a dedicated producer group for our free-range egg farmers, offering: ☑ Long-term cost of production contracts. ☑ Guaranteed minimum volumes. ☑ Assistance in securing finance from banks. ☑ Additional funding to build new free-range sheds. 📽 Meet Julia, one of our dedicated farmers and a member of our free-range egg producer group.     This week is National Inclusion Week. A week about celebrating inclusion and creating inclusive workplaces for everyone. 🙏 As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), we've been listening closely to our colleagues through focus groups and surveys. One key theme we've heard is the desire for more visible and active leadership support in advancing our DE&I efforts So, we’re excited to introduce our new DE&I Director Sponsors.
