  • Get ready for the world’s LARGEST living wall to be built in London. 🌳 The Standard has reported on the construction of the world’s largest living wall in Brent in north east London. A 7400 sqm data centre which is currently under construction, is being developed by Pure Data Centres (Pure DC). The building is being built at JVC Business Park next to the North Circular and the M1, bordering the Brent Reservoir. Its living wall will envelope the building and will contain more than 750,000 individual native plants. Its huge size will make it the world’s largest living wall. The record is currently being held by a building in Qatar. The Standard reported that ‘the plants that will grow on the living wall have been selected for their value to wildlife as well as their ability to absorb pollutants. These include Bergenia, Euphorbia, Rosmarinus, Lavendula, Helleborus and Geraniums’ Bird boxes will be integrated into parts of the living wall to boost bird numbers in the area. This has been coordinated with the support of Brent council and ecologists at Brent Reservoir. Completion of the £1 billion development is expected in 2028. The development is surrounded by a wider regeneration of the area, including the new Brent Cross Town. Built on a 180-acre brownfield site this will deliver 6,700 new homes, offices and leisure facilities.

  • Get ready for the incredible transformation of these THREE iconic London buildings. 👀 Three famous London buildings are set to be repurposed. LEFT: The world’s largest ever conversion of an office skyscraper in London. Plans have been unveiled to transform 8 Canada Square. When HSBC bank vacates the tower in 2027, it is set to be redeveloped, including the removal of large chunks from its facade. Cuts to the tower will carve out new terraces and divide the building into 8 sections. The higher floors would become an entertainment complex with museum, restaurant and garden. The lower floors would be new frontage for shops and restaurants. TOP RIGHT: Plans to transform and re-purpose London’s former City Hall (the former HQ of the Mayor of London) into shops, restaurants and offices have been approved. Its new face-lift will involve its exterior glass shell removed and new balconies fitted. BOTTOM RIGHT: The BT Tower is to be turned into a luxury hotel after its £275m sale to MCR Hotels.
