𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 With 1.3 million households on waiting lists for social housing in England, and new social homes being completed at a rate of just 5,000 each year, we are nowhere near plugging the shortfall. This week, Harriet and Peter argue that utilising the 70,000 vacant social homes, boosting starts on new social homes, and buy-backs of former social housing stock are part of the solution. But what if we tore up the whole system and started again... Read now ➡️ Peter Lord Harriet Shone Jesse Peacock

Innovation. Creativity. Culture. This is what’s driving East London - now and into the future. An intoxicating series of panels and speakers at today’s The Future Is Now event, celebrating all that’s good about the east - aptly hosted by one of the area’s success stories, HERE EAST. It was all topped off by a slightly surreal, half hearted sparring match between two former political heavyweights in Ed Balls and George Osborne 🥊 A nice plug for their podcast of course - though I still prefer the other one - and some interesting confessions on Balls’ lack of confidence in the legacy piece following the games. Glad to see he was proven wrong. London Communications Agency will be doing a deeper dive into what’s next for the area post-LLDC planning era over the coming months. Stay tuned… #realestate #london #eastlondon #innovation #creativity #development #property #lldc

The ordeal that is passing through Euston Station is all over the news. A decision by Ministers on what to do is due soon. It can't come soon enough for what is a national embarrassment. My thoughts from this week's London Communications Agency LDN Newsletter #EustonStation #HS2

A huge thanks to London Communications Agency for hosting our recent Emerging Talent Programme training day. The day started with a panel discussion where our recruits learned more about the great work they do and met many colleagues who shared their career journeys. Thank you, Edward Williams, Freddie Counsell, Jack Gray, Jesse Peacock, Keziah Harrison, Monica Dosanjh, and Shannon King for your insights. We then had an informative session led by Emily Clinton on the impact of politics in the built environment sector. Before lunch, Alice Marmara and Ellie Tucker introduced the cohort to the work of the Politics, Engagement and Planning (PEP) team. They were then set an analysis task for a real-life project seeking planning permission. The day ended with a presentation from Corporate, Consumer and Social colleagues, before recruits developed their own public statement, press release and social media campaign for the real-life project. Thanks Phoebe Gardiner, Francesca Sidoli, Freddie Counsell for delivering this session. The Emerging Talent Programme helps people from global majority backgrounds launch their career in the built environment sector.
