We’re thrilled to announce the completion of our acquisition of Ransome’s Wharf, a prime site close to the Thames in Battersea and directly opposite Chelsea Embankment. It is the 13th site bought by London Square since being acquired by ALDAR at the end of 2023, reflecting the company’s expansion strategy in prime areas of the capital.   The 1.6 acre site was purchased from City Developments Limited and has planning in place for five attractive blocks of four to nine storeys set in landscaped gardens. The development will feature 118 homes, with 94 premium one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments for private sale, and 24 affordable homes, with more than 19,000 sq ft of commercial space. We will start construction in autumn this year. • Happy International Women's Day from all of us at London Square. Today, we take a moment to celebrate the outstanding contributions of the women throughout our business. Whether in land acquisition, design sales or business operations, their expertise and dedication are integral to our success. As the pursuit of gender equality in professional industries continues, we stand firm in our commitment to uplifting, supporting and empowering women – both within our company and beyond.

  • We were delighted to team up with local Twickenham author Zoe Anne Verner to celebrate #WorldBookDay at Twickenham Primary Academy.   Zoe captivated Year 4 students with a live reading of her book, The Adventures of Izzy and Columbus – Nakamomo Island, sparking imaginations and inspiring young readers. Each child received a signed copy, and we were proud to donate additional books to the school library.   This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the next generation. Jo McDonagh, Managing Director at London Square, explains: “All our homes are designed to be family-friendly places where futures can flourish. We create homes with a focus on generations to come, which impacts everything from the net zero design of our properties to the ways in which we engage with the local community.”   “Working in partnership with Zoe and Twickenham Primary Academy epitomises this approach, laying the foundations for strong community connections as Twickenham Square comes to life.”   A huge thank you to Twickenham Primary Academy for welcoming us, and to Zoe for sharing her storytelling magic.   Learn more about our Twickenham developments here: https://lnkd.in/e_i4SR-3

  • Big steps forward for Croydon’s North End Quarter. Croydon Council has endorsed the Masterplan Framework by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, which proposes a more connected, pedestrian-friendly town centre. The plan includes shops, cultural venues and green spaces, while historic landmarks, such as the Whitgift Almshouses and Allders building, will be carefully preserved and integrated into the area’s future. London Square Croydon offers prime access to these transformative opportunities. Discover more about the investment potential of Croydon: https://lnkd.in/ehvw2-yY

  • Watch Dave Green, designer of The London Square The Chelsea Pensioners Garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, when he appears on on ‘The Kings’ Borough: Kensington & Chelsea’ on Channel 5 tomorrow at 7.30pm. The RHS Royal Celebration Garden, designed by Dave Green for the 2023 Chelsea Flower Show, was a serene woodland retreat created in memory of the late Queen. Soft pink and white blooms surrounded a communal seating area, fostering a space for reflection. At the garden’s front, a striking display of deep blue and purple plants honoured the new reign of His Majesty King Charles. A standout feature was the Blue Camassia, mirroring the thousands that bloom annually in the meadows at Highgrove. The selection of trees and shrubs echoed those found at Sandringham, while plant varieties paid tribute to those historically supplied to Royal households.
