🌟 Phil has been nominated as this quarter's Longley Champion! Phil has been with Longley Group since June and has truly gone above and beyond from day one. 🧯 Since joining Phil has project managed a fire safety improvement job at a Primary School and fire compartmentation job in a High School both in Essex. 🏫 Currently, project managing a nursery new build at a Primary School in Kent. A couple of weeks ago Phil found himself staying overnight in a welfare unit due to unforeseen circumstances! He will be dressing up as Santa, giving out presents to 37 2-4 year old's on 20th December! 🎄 We now have multiple live jobs in Coventry and as a company we wanted to make a positive impact on the local community leading up to Christmas. 🧸 With some research we found a nearby hospice called ‘Zoe’s Place’. Zoe’s Place cares for babies and young children with life-limiting, life-threatening or complex conditions. Their nurse-led teams across their sites in Coventry, Liverpool and Middlesbrough expertly deliver individualised, tailored care to children and their families; helping them to live life to its fullest. 🎁 We bought £250 worth of much-needed items from the hospices ‘wishlist’. #ZoesPlace #SocialValues #Charity #Donation #Community #Impact #Hospice #Christmas

🚧 We have officially begun refurbishing this roof terrace at a London-based Student Accommodation property. 🏡 Last week site set up was established. Our team of sixteen operatives have been busy with the site excavations moving soil to the drop chute. We estimate we've removed 30 tons of soil so far. 💪 Being on the roof terrace makes the job slightly more challenging, but nothing we can't get our head around! ✅ We are aiming to clear the entire central roof area by 20th December in line with our program. ♻️ We’ve proposed retaining and repurposing the existing egg crate membrane system instead of disposing of it. 🏫 The concrete for the foundations has now been poured for this nursery new build at this Primary School in Kent! 🧱 This week the on-site team are busy completing the substructure walls, installing the below ground drainage and running water, and the electric and comms ducts to allow for services to feed the new building. 🏗️ They will then begin to install the block and beam floor. 🗣️ As you can see from the photos this is a live site and close communication with the school is therefore essential in order to plan and manage the programme of works so that daily activities can continue safely. 👷♂️We plan to have this completed by the end of the week, come rain or shine! #Concrete #Foundations #PrimarySchool #Kent #Drainage #BlockandBeam #LiveSite #HealthandSafety #EducationSector #Kent #ConstructionManagement #SiteManagement #MainContractor #Tender #LocalAuthority #LocalCouncil
