About us
MCV/DEVELOP is the leading media outlet for the UK games industry. It’s a trusted source of trade news, analysis and data for industry professionals and has been for over 18 years. Digital, print and via events, MCV/DEVELOP has a huge and diverse reach, covering the entire industry. While the UK games industry divided up neatly into retailers, distributors and developers, todays it’s a far more diverse network of businesses. The lines between developers and publishers have been blurred by digital publishing, smaller businesses might need to consider issues such as marketing and PR, while larger operations now include specialists, such as community relations and influencer management. Then we have recruitment specialists, middleware providers, social media platforms, merchandisers, event organisers and many, many more. MCV/DEVELOP exists to support everyone in UK games. We will support your business or studio and give you a platform to have your voice heard. We want to help you increase the size of total gaming revenue in the UK by connecting everyone and encouraging best practice.

A drawing competition with only one 🍆? We call that a success. We had a wonderful time at the MCV/DEVELOP Awards last Thursday. It was brilliant to see the industry come together to blow off steam after an incredibly challenging couple of years. Speaking of steam, we’d like to thank everyone who entered our drawing competition to win a Steam Deck OLED. Over the course of the night, we received more than 200 entries— a 40% engagement rate ;)—and we have to admit, we weren't ready for your talent (or the 🍆). The games industry really knows how to doodle. To showcase your handiwork, we put together the attached video with all the sketches, including Cristina from FuturLab's winning entry. Comment, like or tag yourself below if you spot yours! If you enjoyed our doodle-off and find yourself in need of a collaborative partner with a track record of creating high-engagement video, branding and marketing creative, why not drop us a line? Congratulations to all the winners and nominees at this year’s MCVs. See you next year! #gamesindustry #awards #gamesmarketing
