  • Today we released our study of the General Elections voter profiles using geo-contextual audience insight tools to show some interesting results. We captured the changing human profile of constituencies between 2019 and 2024, indicating how the profile of voters for the leading parties has changed since the last UK General Election. Here's Mobsta's snapshot for Labour 🔎 ▪ 12.2 million more people are living in a Labour constituency in 2024 than in 2019. Whilst these are still predominantly in urban areas, that’s about all that remains unchanged.   ▪ In 2019, Labour voters were more likely to be aged 18-34, living in the bottom 20% of national wealth, and either students, on state benefits, or unemployed.   ▪ The 2024 Labour voter has matured. Now aged 35 to 54, they are less likely to be students and more likely to enjoy a moderately higher level of wealth, finding themselves in the 50th percentile of national wealth.    ▪ Where Labour voters choose to spend their time and money has also moved on significantly.    ▪ In 2019 they were most likely seen in cinemas, gyms and beauty salons, and spending money on fitness memberships and food delivery services.    ▪ The Labour voter of 2024 finds themselves in department stores, car dealerships, and banks, and an increase in wealth profile sees them spending more money on holidays, travel and hotels.    ▪ This is all indicating that Labour has established itself as the home of the middle classes. The full report covers voter snapshots for all key political parties including Conservatives, Lib Dems, SNP and Reform.   Mobsta specialises in creating and understanding geo-contextual audiences by observing real-world behaviours and identifying hotspots for various trends. This includes continuously mapping cultural patterns and shifts both in the UK and internationally.   Using this expertise to geo-fence each constituency, Mobsta has been able to understand the profile of the people living there. This has only been possible due to the unique level of geographical granularity Mobsta works to, which enables the mapping of exact constituency boundaries, rather than arbitrary postal districts or sectors. If you’d like to receive the full free report, we’ll be happy to share it with you. #generalelections #voterintentions #voterprofile #humanprofiles #geocontextual #behaviourchange #media #campaigns

  • Yesterday we had an incredible day taking part in the annual charity #KingstonDragonBoatRace in support of the incredible work The Silverlining Charity do to help those living with brain injury. After taking part Jack Burton said, "It's an incredible event, and it was wonderful to learn more about the charity. It was great to be out on the Thames with the Silverlining Mobstars, with those who help, and those helped by The Silverlining Charity". Christopher Georgiou, who also participated in the rowing event, commented, "We're doing this to support on-the-water initiatives for individuals affected by brain injuries, and it's not too late to donate. Our fundraising campaign is still open!" This race was the start of our goal to raise a huge £10k over the course of this year to help fund The Silverlining Charity's access to more rowing facilities to give more people affected by brain injury the opportunity to experience the immense benefits of being on the water. We have a long way to go so please do support this great cause by donating on our JustGiving page here https://lnkd.in/e-mfNjAB Supporting the boat race is part of Mobsta's charity giving work through our ACTIVE WELLNESS theme for the year where we raise money for a number of charities through wellness centred activities. #charity #fundraising #bcorp #dragonboatrace2024 #dragonboatrace #thames #braininjury #media #advertising #adtech

Every year we set ourselves charity fundraising goals. Instead of picking a single charity to back we select a theme for the year which allows us - as a company and those that work at Mobsta as individuals - to engage with a number of charities in different ways, helping create a diverse and accessible charity offering. This year's theme is: ACTIVE WELLBEING. With physical and mental health at its core, the theme brings together a range of community, higher profile charities, and individual giving opportunities. Under this theme we're doing a bunch of things and would love your support: 🥇 Hosting our very own Inter-Agency Charity Sports Day. Get in touch if you haven't signed up yet - winning agency gets a cash prize for charity of choice! 🚣♀️ Rowing the Kingston Dragon Boat Race to fundraise for the incredible The Silverlining Charity in support of the brain injury work they do and to help give people with diverse physicalities following brain injury the opportunity to experience the wellbeing benefits of being on the water (which are immense!). More on this shortly but if you wanted to sponsor us then please do via their JustGiving page here: https://lnkd.in/e-mfNjAB ⏱ We're also supporting Mobstars to invest some of their individual time on sports related projects via our volunteering partners Matchable Volunteering to support community efforts. #charity #sponsorship #media #advertising #community #sportsday #interagencysportsday #rowing #dragonboatrace #bcorp

We have reduced our digital product emissions by 75% since starting our greener media journey 5 years ago and developing our industry leading emissions calculator 3 years ago (based on average tonnes per million impressions). That's huge! We’ve done this while deepening our understanding of emissions, continuously increasing our product mix offering, and improving performance. We’ve learnt a great deal over that time and are always happy to share our learnings and what you can do to reduce carbon from your media plans. We’re very proud that we can pass these successes on to agencies and clients which bolsters their ESG efforts while delivering fantastic digital media results. We now look forward to aligning with the new Ad Net Zero and #GARM standards and are excited to see action across the industry. #esg #adland #sustainablemedia #greenermedia #greeneradvertising #mediacarbonemissions #sustainableadvertising #media #comms #marcomms #marketing #advertisingemissions

Reading this with interest today. It shouldn't have taken three years to get here but, finally, we have the first iteration of a standardised carbon measurement framework. We'll now start working on what we need to do to adjust our own calculator. But as we've been saying for three years now - measurement is just the start. Action needs to happen. You can measure all you like but until you start reducing carbon from your activity it's largely pointless. At least now with this new framework there should be no more excuses for not making the change from today. As ever, I'd be happy to chat to anyone about what you can do to reduce carbon from your media plans. https://lnkd.in/eNheyXdQ

  • "What's the best thing we can do for our people? The universal nature of humans is that we can be kind to each other. If you start with that then everything else trickles down from it". Last week Matt Longley, our MD, joined Campaign UK's #CampaignPodcast -alongside Bind Media | B-Corp Blis and RPM, that also came top of their category in this year's Best Places to Work - to unpick the magic ingredients which make companies great places to work. Coming top of our category surely means we must be doing something right 😅 Have a listen > https://lnkd.in/eWu5AZwF #bestplacestowork2024 #adland #people #peoplefirst #peopleculture #media #bcorp

  • This year’s #WorldEnvironmentDay focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.”  Why is this important to us and adland? Because digital advertising directly contributes to #desertification. If digital advertising was a country, it would be in the #topten #GHGs emitters globally – similar to a country such as Germany in terms of emissions. A whole country! The industry does this through various avenues including the significant amounts of energy consumed by data centres for running servers, cooling systems, and network infrastructure, all of which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. The emissions from energy consumption contribute to climate change, which exacerbates desertification. Changes in climate patterns, such as prolonged droughts and extreme weather events, can degrade land and accelerate desertification processes. All is not lost. There is a balance we can work towards in relation to environmental health and things we can and already do to help reduce our business’, and the wider industry's, impact. 1) we can use digital to promote sustainability and environmental awareness giving more people greater access to knowledge and action 2) as people and organisations working in the digital advertising sector, we can take greater responsibility for making our supply and partner choices as green and clean as possible But don't just hear it from us. Here’s a short from a recent panel we hosted on the subject of more environmentally sustainable advertising choices in the #postcookie world. It’s a 5min watch and well worth it. Thank you to Lisa Boyles giffgaff, Claire Beavers and Tim Pritchard MG OMD, Samira Brophy Ipsos UK and Tyrone Stewart NewDigitalAge for their gems of wisdom. At Mobsta we work really hard to ensure our offerings are curated so that we reduce as much digital wastage as possible. And while our priority is always to reduce first by cleaning and curating effectively, we also acknowledge that there is always some unwanted emissions just by the nature of operating a business - let a lone a digital one - so we offset the rest and invest into gold standard environmental projects. This also supports clients' and agencies' ESG goals, not just our own. If you want to know more about how we make our offerings greener then we're always happy to come in and speak to teams or have an informal chat over a coffee. Just drop us a line. #adland #sustainableadvertising #ethicalbusiness #greenermedia #greenerprogrammatic #cookielesssolutions #adtech
