For so many, our venues are places of inspiration and joy. ❤️ We’re home to world class art, educational displays, and creative events. Our galleries are full of childhood memories and cherished moments with friends and family. We are a place for learning, listening, questioning, and looking to the future. 🌟 We strive to create memorable experiences for each and every one of our visitors. As custodians of the city’s precious collections, we work to ensure this offer stands for generations to come. 🎨 One of the ways people may choose to support us is through a gift in their will. This Remember A Charity Week we're encouraging people to find out more about our work and how a gift, large or small, can help us continue our amazing programmes, exhibitions, conservation work and learning outreach. As the summer comes to an end, National Museums Liverpool’s corporate partnership family keeps on growing! It’s our pleasure to welcome River Capital on board as our latest supporters. River Capital, part of the Merseyside Special Investment Fund group, is a fund management company which helps ambitious, small and medium-sized businesses, to accelerate their growth and achieve their full potential. River Capital’s commitment to investing across the region, will help us to continue to deliver our world class cultural offer, creating memorable experiences for everyone and challenging expectations. Here’s to the start of a great partnership.   Mark Borzomato, CEO River Capital, tells us more: “We’re proud to join the National Museums Liverpool corporate partnership family. As a business who has supported SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to fuel ambition for close to 30 years, we believe our values align perfectly with those of NML.    As we begin to extend our geographical boundaries and deliver a number of funds right across the North West, it’s also important to us that we pay homage to our Merseyside roots. A fantastic way to do that is by supporting a local institution that plays a pivotal role in highlighting the city’s history, through providing cultural experiences and lasting memories.   We're now excited to embark on this partnership and look forward to contributing to the continued success and impact that National Museums Liverpool has across our region.” 📷 Mark Borzomato

Our bees exhibition is looking LUSH! 🐝    We are buzzing to have partnered with LUSH Cosmetics store in Church Street, Liverpool to produce an epic window display to promote our blockbuster exhibition Bees: A Story of Survival. Lush's mission and aims as an organisation are focussed heavily on sustainability, reducing their carbon footprint and raising awareness around natural organic products. The window is dressed with the iconic Euglossa bee, from World Museum's Entomology collection and the window is adorned with sustainable and sweet smelling products from Lush.   With Bees: A Story of Survival being an immersive experience, where visitors can see, touch and smell the world as bees experience it, LUSH have been a great company to partner with. The display uses British seasonal flowers that have been non transported and grown without pesticides in growing fields as beautiful backdrops, complete with fairly traded products using honey, lavender and botanical scented ranges. The display raises the awareness of the importance of our pollinators and how we can support them by learning more about making sustainable choices. https://lnkd.in/gvJRRrHs #LushLiverpool #Bees #WorldMuseum #Exhibition #SaveTheBees #ImmersiveExperience #FamilyDaysOut

Let's raise a glass to acknowledge the end of the first year of partnership with Liverpool Gin Distillery - and celebrate the start of our second year of collaboration! Based in Castle Street, they provide a wonderful addition to our programme of stakeholder events throughout the year, and we couldn’t be happier to continue working together. Thanks again, Liverpool Gin Distillery:   "We are really excited to begin a second year of partnership with National Museums Liverpool. The past year has been a great success, bringing a unique element to events across all NML venues; from welcome drinks to bespoke cocktails and private gin tastings. We have met lots of wonderful people along the way and look forward to meeting more throughout our partnership. It’s important to be able to continue to collaborate and share appreciation of art, culture and heritage of our fantastic city and promote Liverpool together." If you would like to speak to a member of National Museums Liverpool's corporate partnership team about joining us at a future event, please contact  Business@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk 📷 Rebecca Haycox, General Manager, Liverpool Gin Distillery

We are honoured to be working with Alder Hey Children's Hospital and we are so proud of our Learning team. The Arts for Health Creative Pathways project has been making a difference for children and young people at Alder Hey for nearly 18 months.    Funded thanks to a generous grant from Arts Council England the project has allowed Alder Hey Children's Charity and the Arts for Health team to collaborate with arts organisations like us, to provide magical experiences that not only last a lifetime but aid in the treatment and recovery of brave children and young people. Read more on how our very own Dino Dave and Andy have been bringing our collections to life for patients: https://lnkd.in/eGKPviM5

The Arts for Health Creative Pathways project has been making a difference for children and young people at Alder Hey Children's Hospital for nearly 18 months, providing a varied and innovative programme of creative art sessions for children and young people under Alder Hey’s care. 💙 Funded thanks to a generous grant from Arts Council England, the project has allowed Alder Hey Children’s Charity and the Arts for Health team to collaborate with nationally renowned arts organisations such as our friends at National Museums Liverpool, providing our brave children and young people with magical experiences that not only last a lifetime, but aid in their treatment and recovery. 🏥 We were recently delighted to be invited to visit the World Museum in Liverpool to observe a Creative Pathways session in action, as palaeontology expert Dino Dave gave one dinosaur loving Alder Hey patient an unforgettable morning, signing off a ten-week course of one-to-one sessions that has left the young person feeling inspired and rejuvenated. Dave and Andy, his partner at the World Museum have been visiting us at Alder Hey for nearly 12 months, bringing joy to so many patients on our wards and outpatients department. After a very difficult week for Liverpool City Region and across the UK what we need now is calm but we also need to be clear about what we are seeing. This isn’t protest, it’s racism. https://lnkd.in/e6xv-tfg

This academic year we have delivered over 1,430 led sessions to over 39,618 children and young people across our museums and galleries. Our workshops have brought to life a huge range of topics including space, sea creatures and the ancient worlds of Rome, Greece and Egypt. Children have learned about the sinking of the Titanic, Liverpool’s significance as a port city, and explored the art and culture of the prosperous Benin Kingdom – this was a society that flourished between the 12th and 19th centuries within what is now southern Nigeria. We are now touring some of our workshops into schools and communities and immersing children in stories and craft as they develop their understanding of transatlantic slavery and its legacies. Currently, we are celebrating the breadth of students’ talent and creative expression in our Schools Summer Season display at the Walker Art Gallery, showcasing artwork by children and young people we have supported this year. We were delighted to welcome Lord Mayor Richard Kemp to one of our last school workshops of the year, to see one of our Ancient Egypt sessions in action. Liverpool City Council https://lnkd.in/eKwGjgUF
