🔹 Building the Future of Nuclear with Amentum, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Laing O’Rourke & Cavendish Nuclear 🔹 Yesterday, two of NucCol’s team members—Steven Farey, Senior Supply Chain Analyst, and Paige Astley-Burrows , BA(Hons), MAPM, Program Manager—joined a key industry discussion with Amentum, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Laing O'Rourke, and Cavendish Nuclear. The focus? Exploring how the UK supply chain can support the manufacture of the GE Hitachi BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR). At NucCol, we are committed to ensuring that the UK supply chain is ready to deliver the high-quality components, precision engineering, and skilled workforce needed to make SMRs a success. That’s why we conduct Supply Chain Readiness Level (SCRL) assessments, helping companies evaluate their capabilities, compliance, and capacity to meet the demands of nuclear projects like the BWRX-300. These assessments provide manufacturers with a clear roadmap to enter or expand within the nuclear sector. It was fantastic to engage with Amentum, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Laing O’Rourke, and Cavendish Nuclear—four key players in the industry—on how we can collectively support the development and deployment of SMR technology in the UK. 💬 If you're a UK manufacturer looking to explore opportunities in the SMR supply chain, or if you’d like to learn more about how Supply Chain Readiness Levels can support your business, visit our website: www.nuccol.co.uk #NucCol #NuclearSupplyChain #SMR #GEHitachi #BWRX300 #NuclearEnergy #UKManufacturing #SupplyChainReadiness #Decarbonisation #LaingORourke #CavendishNuclear #Amentum

⚡️ Powering the Future of UK Nuclear! ⚡️ The UK's nuclear sector is facing significant changes, with the projected costs for Sizewell C in Suffolk now nearing £40 billion—double the initial estimate. Rising construction costs and delays similar to those at Hinkley Point C have contributed to this increase. The UK Treasury will decide on the project's future in its upcoming spending review. At NucCol, we understand the challenges large-scale nuclear projects face when costs and timelines shift. Our comprehensive service offerings—covering supply chain readiness levels, demand modelling, supply chain development, manufacturing integration, skills development, events and networking, and government policy support—position us to help the UK meet its energy goals efficiently and effectively. The UK's ambitious target to quadruple nuclear power capacity by 2050, aiming for up to 24GW, marks the most significant expansion in 70 years. This commitment will generate thousands of jobs, reduce electricity costs, and bolster Britain's energy security. NucCol is prepared to play a key role in supporting this vision by offering specialised nuclear services that ensure long-term energy reliability and sustainability. We are committed to working closely with industry partners and the government to navigate the complexities of nuclear projects. Together, we can help drive a resilient and successful energy future for the UK. 📩 Get in touch with us today if you require help—NucCol is ready for business! - enquiries@nuccol.co.uk TCB ⚡
