Last week we completed the seismic baseline survey in preparation for the upcoming Project Poseidon injection test. Using the Kingsborg service vessel as a seismic source vessel, a baseline DAS VSP (Distributed Acoustic Sensor Vertical Seismic Profile) was measured by the fibre optic cable installed in the intended injection well. A baseline Spot seismic survey was also recorded on ocean bottom nodes. With six companies making up the seismic team and an extra five companies involved in operations on the vessel and QCing data onshore, a high level of technical collaboration was required to deliver this operation. Perenco CCS look forward returning and repeating the acquisition during the injection test to measure the subsurface effect of the injected CO₂. We are thrilled to announce that the workover programme on well 49/27-H1 at the Leman 27H platform is now completed. The Petrodec Haeva rig has achieved recompletion and delivery of the injection well that will inject CO₂ into the depleted Rotliegend sandstones in the upcoming injection test.   #PerencoCCS would like to thank our technology partners who contributed to delivering this workover. As we approach the well workover and recompletion first operational phase of the Poseidon Project, the Perenco #CCS and Perenco SNS teams recently visited Halliburton in Montrose to finalize the downhole tools assemblies. This equipment will be run in hole with the offshore rig to deliver a system ready to monitor and inject CO₂ during the next phase. We are pleased to announce the award of a CO₂ product supply contract to #AirLiquide for the Project Poseidon CO₂ injection test. We are pleased to announce the award of a CO₂ injection package service contract to #SLB for the Project Poseidon CO₂ injection test.   SLB has a track record of gathering deep expertise in well testing and stimulation. They are assembling a fit for purpose equipment package that will be installed on the deck of the #Petrodec rig, ERDA, which will be jacked up alongside the 27H platform during the test.   As project preparation progresses, #PerencoCCS continues to be inspired by our technology partners, who are helping us to find novel solutions to the challenges of injecting CO₂.   Carbon Catalyst Limited | Wintershall Dea | SLB

#CCS Manager, Louis Hannecart, was pleased to present the Poseidon CCS project in the Carbon Capture Summit 2024 event in Amsterdam. A comprehensive panel of emitters, financiers, advisors for EU regulation as well as several technology developers were in attendance as we provided an update of our ongoing work on the CS009 Appraisal License.  Louis highlighted the opportunity of the Leman - Poseidon CCS project in a view of developing from our UK licenses future carbon storage offering for UK domestic emitters as well as for continental Europe emitters.   See attached the key takeaways discussed in the presentation.
