As part of my own development plan, we identified that continuing to build a deep understanding of broader pension investment would be important both for the work I do at Railpen and my longer-term career journey. As a result, this year I will be undertaking a part-time secondment to the Client Investment Solutions team (which provides investment advice to Railpen’s clients). We intend this to be one of many apprenticeship programmes across the business and we look forward to watching our employees grow. Providing guidance, skills and techniques to provide consistency in the way that people are managed and developed, this is an important part of driving our culture.
