As part of our significant investments in Cambridge, and our ongoing commitment to supporting young and scaling businesses in the technology, life sciences and engineering sectors, we have today opened a 3,300 sq ft state-of-the-art innovation hub, named The Glasshouse, in the city. Delivered in partnership with Innovate Cambridge. The Glasshouse will act as a gateway for company founders and investors to access the city’s thriving innovation ecosystem. Cambridge, renowned for its world-leading research and innovation, has raised £100bn of capital in the last decade alone and is projected to have the fastest employment growth in the UK over the next ten years. Managed by Innovate Cambridge, The Glasshouse will build on this momentum, acting as a platform for both local and global businesses to pioneer advancements that will continue to shape the future of knowledge intensive industries worldwide. Matthew Howard, Head of Property at Railpen, commented: "Railpen’s investment in Cambridge reflects its commitment to fostering long-term, sustainable growth in one of the world's leading science and innovation hubs. The Glasshouse is a direct outcome of this approach, and will be a focal point where ideas can be shared, collaborations formed, and new solutions brought to life." Dr Chapman, Executive Director at Innovate Cambridge, said: "The Glasshouse represents not only a dedicated physical space for breakthrough ideas but also the strength of the relationships driving Cambridge’s innovation engine. Railpen’s active investment in the region brings invaluable resources and momentum." Michael Anstey, Partner at Cambridge Innovation Capital, added: " With the launch of The Glasshouse, Railpen and Innovate Cambridge are creating an unparalleled gateway for global talent and investors to further connect with this vibrant ecosystem, ensuring that Cambridge continues to lead in shaping the future of knowledge-based industries." The Glasshouse is part of Railpen's broader investment in Cambridge, which includes a cluster of sustainable, premium real estate assets including Devonshire Gardens and Botanic Place. #CambridgeInnovation #InnovationHub #BusinessGrowth #SustainableGrowth #KnowledgeEconomy #LifeSciences #TechInvestments Anna Rule Richard van Lente Julia Diez Andrea Ash (Bishop), CFA Aver

Ben Sherman is the latest menswear brand to join our premium outlet village in Scotland, Caledonia Park. The 1,500 sq ft store, which opened yesterday, marks the brand’s first outlet in Scotland and stocks a wide variety of its signature outerwear ranges and accessories. It joins the recently opened Under Armour, as well as several Scottish outlet firsts such as Moss Rituals and SWAROVSKI Maria Averkina commented on the opening: “Ben Sherman is yet another brilliant name to add to Caledonia Park as we continue to bolster our critical mass of retail brands. The centre is in a really strong position, and it’s fantastic to see that we are continuing to attract those outlet firsts for Scotland and deliver a positive and diverse retail experience.” #caledoniapark #railpen #scotland #outlet #retail #bensherman

The Sustainable Ownership Member Review – which condenses our Stewardship Report into an accessible, document designed specifically for members – is available on Railpen’s website. In it, the Trustee and Railpen explain why we invest members’ money sustainably, what we’ve done on their behalf in 2023 and discuss our plans for the next 12 months. This annual, member-focused document is in a simple and accessible format and is less than 20 pages in length. It provides real-life case studies and covers topics members have told us matter most to them – in 2023 these were fair treatment of workers, fair pay and making sure company boards can be held to account. For the first time, the 2023 Member Review is supported by a series of videos aimed at helping members’ further understand how Railpen invests their money and, in particular, how we consider and act upon the ESG issues that matter most to good member outcomes. The video, which features colleagues from our award-winning Sustainable Ownership team Michael Marshall, Caroline Escott, Adam Gillett and Sophie Harris can be watched in full or in two parts. Part one provides an overview of the 2023 Review – for members wanting to learn more about our approach, while part two highlights the outcomes achieved against the team’s thematic priorities. Commenting on our approach this year, Michael Marshall, Director of Investment Risk and Sustainable Ownership at Railpen, said: “Our member-first culture is at the core of everything we do. As more people show an increased interest in the sustainability aspect of how their money is invested, we are providing more ways for them to positively and proactively engage with and understand the subject, including how we consider and act upon the most relevant ESG issues to help protect and grow their pension savings.” Read our 2023 Sustainable Ownership Member Review at https://ow.ly/1t4C50TTB1J Or watch our videos… Part one ‘the overview’ at https://ow.ly/jKKP50TTB1H and part two ‘what we did on members’ behalf in 2023’ at https://ow.ly/Z6GE50TTB1I or you can watch the full video at https://ow.ly/Hm3H50TTB1G Hear from Michael and Caroline, Senior Investment Manager and Stewardship Lead at Railpen, in our news release at https://ow.ly/SAK650TTB1F #SustainableOwnership #ESG #MemberEngagement #Stewardship
