One of our sites, Pinehill Hospital, has been offering Aquablation Therapy for over a year. This is a new minimally invasive robotic treatment for patients suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sanjeev Katwa as Chief Digital & Information Officer for Ramsay Health Care UK. As CDIO, Sanjeev will be responsible for the company’s digital & technology strategy and the IT operational delivery & support functions. Prior to his appointment with Ramsay, Sanjeev was Technology Director at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club where he was responsible for the technology strategy, IT, Enterprise Technology and Digital Products functions. Sanjeev played a key role in leading the technology for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one of the most technologically advanced an innovative multi-purpose stadiums in the world, which opened in April 2019. In a 25+ year career in sport, media and entertainment, Sanjeev has held senior technology roles at MTV, Sony Music and City Football Group where he built and led high performing teams to deliver tangible business benefits through the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions alongside effective business change programmes. Sanjeev is also a board advisor to the Manchester Originals, who participate in The Hundred Cricket tournament.

Ramsay is passionate about working in partnership with local stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality care with positive outcomes for patients. New Hall Hospital have developed a fantastic relationship with Gloucester Hospital Foundation Trust to help treat spinal surgery patients on NHS waiting lists within the local community more quickly. The team at the trust said: "We understand that waiting for surgery can be a stressful experience. Our aim is to provide care as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, in July 2024, we faced a backlog of spinal surgery patients with an estimated wait time exceeding 65 weeks for around 75 individuals by September 2024. To address this issue, we partnered with New Hall to increase our capacity and offer timelier care to our patients. Thanks to their collaboration, we were able to treat a greater number of patients in addition to our NHS capacity. Paul Foster MP, the newly elected Member of Parliament for South Ribble, and former Leader of South Ribble Council, visited one of our 34 hospital sites, Buckshaw Hospital, where he saw people caring for people in action.
