We had some enquiries for more detail on one of the #3Dprinted #vascularmodels we have worked on with Life Model Designs - here you go, what do you think? #microfluidics #innovation
Rapid Fluidics
Biotechnology Research
Design and rapid-prototyping consultancy service to customers needing microfluidic solutions. sales@rapidfluidics.com
About us
Rapid Fluidics Ltd was established in 2020 to provide a design and rapid-prototyping consultancy service to customers with a need for microfluidic systems. We've developed a novel way to rapidly and accurately produce prototype microfluidic test cards. This offers companies developing microfluidic products a range of fluidic building blocks, and a much faster iteration cycle through designs before committing to mould tooling. We work with customers to realise their process into a product. We can help at any stage of the development, from establishing user requirements; design, build and test of prototype instrumentation to design for mass production and selection of manufacturing partners. We understand the drive to satisfy human factor requirements whilst meeting COGs (cost of goods) targets and comply with applicable standards. Contact us at info@rapidfluidics.com

Unsolicited praise and validations of our culture and business model are always appreciated from our clients, our response to this one from our CEO Paul Marshall: "Hi Paul, Thanks for the email, it's so nice to get messages like that out of the blue. Essentially, we’re simply doing what I set Rapid Fluidics up to do, so it's great to hear that it's working! We’re really enjoying working with Sagentia Innovation, pushing the #3Dprinting process to keep your team going and I look forward to carrying on." #customersuccess #microfluidics #designandbuild #rapidprototyping #IVD #researchservices

No affiliation or conflicts, new review article mentions #3Dprinting versatility, precision, and cost as an attractive option for the low-cost prototyping and mass manufacturing of microfluidic devices. "#Microfluidic devices have emerged as advantageous tools for detecting environmental contaminants due to their portability, ease of use, cost-effectiveness, and rapid response capabilities. These devices have wide-ranging applications in #environmentalmonitoring of air, water, and soil matrices, and have also been applied to #agriculturalmonitoring. Although several previous reviews have explored microfluidic devices' utility, this paper presents an up-to-date account of the latest advancements in this field for environmental monitoring, looking back at the past five years. In this review, we discuss devices for prominent contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, nutrients, microorganisms, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), etc. We cover numerous detection methods (electrochemical, colorimetric, fluorescent, etc.) and critically assess the current state of microfluidic devices for environmental monitoring, highlighting both their successes and limitations. Moreover, we propose potential strategies to mitigate these limitations and offer valuable insights into future research and development directions."

Though there are other approaches to #rapidprototyping none provide the #speed and #flexibility of #3Dprinting with the #quality we can deliver. Interested in standard parts like these multi way #manifolds? Take a look at our online shop https://lnkd.in/gvZxRSE3, most products are also customizable!

#additivemanufacturing is a tight community, we couldn't be at RAPID + TCT 2024 but Life Model Designs has some of our parts on display at the Ricoh USA, Inc. booth 911, stop by and see what we all have to offer, thank you Sean Gerke for your support! #microfluidics #rapidprototyping #downto50umchannels
Another wonderful day at RAPID + TCT 2024! Stop by booth 911 to speak to the Ricoh team about our additive manufacturing capabilities. We can support you on-site or from our centralized manufacturing facilities. We are always glad when our CEO Paul Marshall joins us in production. As an experienced Chartered Engineering Professional with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University he still likes to get his hands on the actual #microfluidic parts to suggest changes to optimize design and function for our customers if needed. Thanks for all you do Paul! #CEOatwork #companyculture #rapidprototyping #designwork #entrepreneur #wearingmanyhats
