It’s been great to be back on campus for the third time in the past few weeks—after delivering a lecture to the Real Estate Masters students and a presentation for undergraduates in September too. Also loved catching up with some familiar faces—Luke P., Iona Mooney, Rose Crossfield, and James King. Hello, Network 👋. Today, The Reading Real Estate Foundation organised a careers fair, which was a pleasure to attend. There were numerous complimentary gifts, including tote bags, key chains, and stress balls. 😂 More importantly, the professionalism displayed by each representative there was absolutely inspirational. In particular, my conversations with Camilla Szamfeber and William McNeillis were really enlightening and motivating. Their company, Gerald Eve, was just acquired by Newmark, so I had some questions for both of them. Every question was answered with extensive industry expertise and examples, and because they worked in two different areas within Gerald Eve, the material was valuable in both. Additionally, they gave excellent interview advice. They described their experience working at Gerald Eve, which sounded fantastic. 😉 They also mentioned some great persons, including William Kirkpatrick and Precilia Kabunda, LLB. I'd want to meet them sometime. Overall, the fair was wonderful, as were the representatives. Congratulations to the University of Reading, Reading Real Estate Foundation, and all staff/volunteers. 👏
