On Wednesday we were pleased to host the seventh instalment of our Employer Masterclass series, hosted by Reed in Partnership’s senior leaders and in-house experts. The session, “Creating and managing high performing teams”, was presented by our Associate Director of Leadership and Management Development, Kosta C., and discussed: 🔵 Managing vs leading 🔵 How to achieve high performance 🔵 Mindset and behaviours Kosta shared his thoughts on the session, saying: "It was a pleasure to share some core approaches to building and managing high performing teams. During the session we explored the definition of 'high performing'. This does not just mean results or sustainable performance against set objectives, but also how those results are achieved through behaviours, mindset, individual and collective contributions, culture, constructive and honest feedback exchanges, accountability and diversity of perspectives. "We also explored how management and leadership work together, the importance of a clear and compelling vision, clear standards and expectations of each other, mutual trust and psychological safety, and how to maximise buy-in and commitment from team members. "All in all, it was a successful and enjoyable event to deliver and, I hope, provided some food for thought for all those who joined and took part." 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁? Throughout this financial year, four people from across the Reed Group are chosen each month to donate £10,000 to a charity of their choice through the Reed Foundation, in celebration of the Reed Group’s 65th anniversary. Graeme Bourne, Senior Test Centre Associate at one of our DVSA Driving Theory Test Centres, chose to make his donation to the North London Hospice. Since 1984 the hospice has been providing care for people with potentially life-limiting illness and specialist needs, supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible. Graeme told us: “When my father was seriously ill in 2019, they provided day and night care in his home so he could see out his final days in familiar surroundings. He passed away December 2019 being looked after by their staff, who were magnificent. “Thank you to all the team at the North London Hospice who cared for him. I hope this donation can provide essential help to other patients who need their support.” #improvinglivesthroughwork #lifeatreed

A great day in Grays with the new Labour Member of Parliament for Thurrock, Jen Craft! Through our Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Restart Scheme delivery in the constituency, we are ensuring that people who need the support the most are receiving personalised and intensive advice and guidance that is putting them on the pathway to employment. Jen met with our dedicated local team who gave her insights into the difference the Restart Scheme is making to her constituents on a daily basis – and she saw for herself the extent to which the team go the extra mile to deliver these positive results. We are proud to be changing lives for the better in Grays and throughout Essex, and we look forward to working with government to ensure more people can access services that are proven to lead to jobs and contribute to a growing economy. #Growth #Jobs #Skills

Who's looking for highlights of our Bristol Employment Fair? We've got them! Our second event of the year took place last week at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, where we welcomed more than 100 exhibitors and around 500 Service leavers. Split across two concourses, everyone engaged in a valuable day of networking, job searching, identifying training options and catching up with colleagues. One Service leaver left with two job offers and the overall feedback was fantastic. We still have lots left to run this year and we're in Edinburgh next, on 23 April, so if you'd like to come along, hit the link below and get yourself booked on. https://bit.ly/CTP_EF_Book #CTP #CTPEF #EmploymentFair #networking #careers #Serviceleaver #jobs
