This took the building from feasibility through to concept and detailed designs, monitoring the construction stage to practical completion and throughout the defects period. Phase 1 of the Pike Close, Bromley redevelopment is progressing well, and should be ready for its first occupants early 2025 as predicted. The project consists of six multi-residential blocks with 178 self-contained dwellings and is RHB's first collaboration with the Countryside Partnerships / Riverside joint venture. The redevelopment will achieve a 35% improvement in total CO2 emissions over what Part L of the Building Regulations 2013 outlines through on-site measures. Energy efficiency measures alone will achieve 10% of the total improvement. A central plant with air-source heat pumps (ASHP) and gas boilers as the energy source, will serve each apartment’s heat interface unit (HIU). Central services and distribution to all blocks include heating flow & return, boosted domestic water, sprinklers, a generator for secondary services, fire alarms as well as a variety of telecom services & ELV services. Phased construction will enable residents to move into a new block before demolition, and the project will take circa nine years to complete. #MEP #construction #engineering

A great day of golf last Thursday organised by PPA- thank you Neil Hawkins and for my playing partners Joe Taylor & James Chaplin from Warner Goodman and Jack Preston. It was nearly a perfect round but the rain caught us on a couple of holes.
