We are extending a warm Willis welcome to Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate students who are undertaking volunteering with us to highlight the importance and impact of the construction of affordable homes in Wales. We're excited Brynteg Comprehensive School A-level pupils Anwen Thompson and Max Lewis are participating at our community events as part of their Global Community Project, commencing on sites this week with our clients Cadwyn Housing Association and RHA Wales, and continuing over the next few months. 👷♂️ 👷♀️ With the focus of their project underpinned with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government's Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, it aligns perfectly with our Social Value activities and will be fantastic to view the work we undertake through their perspective. We have had meetings with them in their preparation for the experience, and as part of their project proposals, both have requested to undertake communications with stakeholders, including social media. They will be creating some content for us, and we hope you enjoy their posts over the next few days, and months. We will continue to support and follow their progress as they complete this element of their qualification, also seeing them contribute positively to our charity partners, and wish them every success in achieving their goals and future aspirations. #BuildingABrighterTomorrow #TeamWillis #WelshBacc #FutureGenerations #CommunityEngagement #AffordableHomes

Our future is bright! We will move forward in 2025 as Beacon should our merger with Coastal Housing Group proceed as planned. Beacons have illuminated human history as symbols of hope, guidance, and connection. They’ve been used by countless cultures to communicate across vast distances; their glow uniting people, providing direction, carrying messages, and marking celebrations. Whether lit on hills, mountains or coastal cliffs, their enduring presence reflects a shared understanding, a shared purpose and the human desire to connect with others.

At the end of last week we joined colleagues from Coastal Housing Group, Easyliving Limited and EXPEDITE for a beach clean and litter pick in #Porthcawl as part of their #socialvalue work for their exciting Porthcawl Hotel development. Its always positive to share success with others in the sector, and learn from one another.
So fab for the superb Donna and I from Trivallis to take inspiration from the (I am not exaggerating) LEGENDARY Simone Devinett at RHA Wales. We met amazing people at The Little Shed project where you 'feel the love' the moment you step through the door and heard about fabulous community involvement and development work. And this is the day after a chat with the also LEGENDARY Ross Williams from MerthyrValleysHomes MVH. Fresh dose of #ABCD inspiration from the best. What a start to the week ❤️

Fantastic community investment from WILLIS CONSTRUCTION on our #BigShedproject Their #buildSHED has created a unique community space for #Tonypandy by transforming a disused unit into fantastic welcoming hub to engage with all ages in the town during the build and beyond. #futuregenerations #positiveplacemaking #towncentreregeneration #teamwillis
The children of St Raphael & St Gabriel RC School in Tonypandy had a fantastic time visiting our #buildSHED hub to watch site activity at our RHA Wales #BigShed project yesterday. After weeks of excitedly observing the crane from their school playground a few streets away, they finally got to see it working in progress. 🏗️ Our Health, Safety & Training Manager Paul Cachia expertly talked with them about what we are building and all about construction - with one little boy enquiring ‘Can I go and work on the site now? Will you teach me to build a house please?’ We definitely met a future construction professional and we look forward to seeing the children again soon at our next activity with them!👷 Rhys Ford Nyron Wood Christopher Wood Matthew Oliver Emma Lewis #buildingabrightertomorrow #teamwillis #inspiringthenextgeneration #lovetonypandy
