🌟 Congratulations to the Build Salford Class of '24 🌟 This morning, Build Salford's amazing employers, partners, and this year's talented trainees came together at Salford City College Group to celebrate the trainees' successful completion of the Build Salford annual flagship traineeship. Trainees were awarded with toolkits supplied by Travis Perkins, vouchers and a certificate of recognition for completing the traineeship. A huge congratulations to all the trainees who’ve worked so hard to get where they are, and to our fantastic employers and partners who’ve supported them along the way. The unique partnership work continues to create opportunities in the construction industry for Salford residents who need it the most.

⚙️ Finding Stability - Stelios’ Journey with Salford Futures ⚙️ After being a full-time caregiver for his late wife, Stelios was seeking a fresh start. As a ForHousing resident, he was referred to the Salford Futures programme. A tailored work experience placement in the ForHousing Waste Management team gave Stelios the opportunity to regain his confidence and develop new skills. Stelios received hands-on support and gradually found his footing within the team. The structured routine helped him re-adjust to working life while providing the flexibility he needed. Networking and meeting new people gave him the boost to secure a permanent role as a Waste Management Operative. Stelios’ advice to anyone in a similar situation? “Just go for it!” 💪 Working with ForHousing, Salford Futures gave him the tools to rebuild his life and re-enter the workforce with confidence and purpose.
