Look at the difference to our garden 😍 Thanks to Argyle - Civil Engineering, Surfacing & Construction for coming and volunteering with us yesterday, we finally got the garden floor sorted. No more cardboard to try and protect the floor covering!! A job that has needed to be done for months but with no time, man power and expertise we could get it completed. Looking forward to having the team back in with us today too. #comminitysupportingcommunity

Another lovely 'full to the brim' Christmas Day is over. Today is only made possible by the donations we receive, the staff who work and volunteers who give their time. Thanks to Adam Upton for bringing his team from Dyno-Rod, a British Gas company to volunteer with us again. As well as helping sort through donations, we were really lucky as they also plumbed in our new washing machine (saving us money). Always a pleasure to have their team in 🙌

We are one of MC Construction Charities of the year. They have supported us with volunteering, their partners have sent raffle prizes and £250 Trafford Centre vouchers for our forthcoming raffles and this week they have brought us food donations and more vouchers. We are grateful for their support, it's great that a local company is supporting local charities too 🙌 Thank You 😍

Thank you to Quartzelec Limited for supporting our Christmas Toy appeal. With their help we were able to provide bags of new toys for over 50 local families who are struggling. There will be many happy children and relieved parents this Christmas 🎅

Thanks to IN4 Group who have volunteered with us twice in the last week. They've helped us sort through donations, supported our job club and they also brought us a lovely hamper that will be given as a prize on Christmas Day 💕 We appreciate the support 😍

What a whirlwind it's been since Thursday. We are extremely honoured that Andy Burnham brought the Secretary of State Liz Kendall to visit us and showcase what could be offered as an alternative to job centres, centres to holistically support people and then help them back into employment. It was also amazing to know we made an impact, as we were mentioned after their visit in Liz's keynote speech where she agreed there needed to be change. We are lucky as in Salford we do things differently, we are a part of the Elevate Salford Programme to help people furthest from the job market get back into the employment and we sit peer-to-peer with statutory leaders.
