It was an honour to have been invited to the grand opening ceremony of one of our past projects, the Fordham Abbey Estates. This Shinto Shrine, nestled within the beautiful gardens of the estate, pays homage to Japanese traditions and customs. 🎍 As we walked through the serene surroundings, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of tranquility and peace. We were honoured to have been invited to the sacred ceremony. 🙏 #Ceremony #ShintoShrine #JapaneseTraditions #Honoured #Tranquility #Peace #FordhamAbbeyEstates 📸 Richard Fraser

BCO lunch gets competitive 💪 British Council for Offices hosted their annual lunch with a competitive edge as Colin Brown from Mission Street led a pub quiz. Narrowed down to the final three, we were delighted to come a respectable 2nd with worthy winners CB3 Consulting LTD taking first prize and Howard Group taking 3rd place 🥳 Richard Warwick did a great job hosting and paid credit to some of the incredible projects within the region. He also thanked Mike Ayton from DTRE LLP for the incredible contribution he has made to BCO over the last few years as he is now stepping down and handing the reins to Richard. We were delighted to sponsor the BCO lunch once again, alongside the other sponsors: CB3 Consultanting Ltd, Owers Warwick Architects Overbury, Saunders Boston Architects and Fora. #COELWorkSpaces #Networking #Cambridge

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring the BCO East Anglia Annual Lunch. 💼 🤝 As always it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon catching up with colleagues in the industry in the beautiful setting of the University Arms Hotel. We particularly enjoyed the Life Sciences speech by Colin Brown, Chair of BCO Life Sciences Committee, and the intense but fun science themed pub quiz (even though our quiz skills were not at their best!) 🫣👨🔬 Thank you to the British Council for Offices for organising such a great event and to our guests for joining us! 🙌🏻 British Council for Offices Kier Group - Sarah Mason 👷♀️🔵 Curtins - Stefano Strazzullo #BCOevent #lifesciences #eastanglialunch #constructionindustry #quiz #cambridge #universityarmshotel

🌍 Today is World Mental Health Day and this year the focus is on ‘mental health in the workplace’. As a company, we recognise the importance of promoting mental wellbeing in the workplace. That’s why we planned a special treat for our staff – a ‘Drawing for Wellbeing Workshop’ with local artist Helena Perry. 🎨 It was a fantastic afternoon filled with creativity, mindfulness and rejuvenation. Helena guided us through a series of meditation experiments that set the stage for an engaging drawing session. It truly was a therapeutic experience. 😌 Thank you, Helena, for inspiring us with your talent! 🙌🏻 ✏️ 🖌 #WMHD24 #MentalHealthAwareness #Mindfulness #WorkplaceMentalHealth #ArtTherapy #worldmentalhealthday2024

📢 We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of The Perse Sports Centre! 🎉 The opening last week highlighted the Centre’s unique design, comprising a ‘wet’ side; with a pool, a ‘dry’ side with a sports hall and climbing wall, and a central atrium that fosters connectivity. The centre is now open for public use for all of the community to enjoy! 🏊♀️🎾🧗♀️ Saunders Boston thanked the great team that came together to deliver this amazing project that will be a legacy for The Perse School pupils and the surrounding community for years to come. 🙌🏻 Martin explained the external treatment of the building "The new sports centre will be the training ground for pupils to go and explore the corners of the world. The coloured bricks laid in a motion configuration - brown and green bricks representing earth, dark blue water and light blue and white the sky – these are all areas that The School’s Exploration Society encounter on their trips. The purple bricks represent The School themselves exploring these elements." 🧱🏫 The Perse School, Cambridge Willmott Dixon #projectcompletion #sportscentre #teamwork #construction #design #leisure #community
