This National Poetry Day, we’re celebrating the healing power of the written word. Sawsan Al-Areeque is a poet and filmmaker from Yemen supported by our Cross Borders arts programme. Her latest collection of poetry, Genetically Modified Feelings, is a deeply personal exploration of life and death, relationships, fear and uncertainty. She explains: “Only writing was healing my soul, and it has never abandoned me, even on dark nights… I relied on it to create a parallel life, which made me overcome all problems, challenges, and barriers that stood or will stand in my way.” Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eF7WSFHn

Scottish Refugee Council reposted this
If you have leave to remain in the UK, you currently receive a physical Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). On January 1st, digital eVisas are replacing these cards and the physical BRP card will expire. They will not affect your immigration status, but you can use an eVisa to prove your leave to remain. The Scottish Refugee Council has set up a page to support with the eVisa application process and any questions you may have. https://lnkd.in/e9TZSZFJ
