    These are the issues that are crippling your outbound sales efforts. The data is undeniable within Second Voice 1️⃣. Cold email infrastructure is an absolute 🐷 to master. Technically it is harder than ever. Inbox and IP rotation, Spintax, Relevance, Data validation, multi-ESP sending schedules, DNS records. Don’t understand half of that? Don’t bother with cold email unless you do. 2️⃣. Sequencers like Salesloft, Outreach and Apollo are making your reps lazy and robotic. AI will 100% be able to replace the emailers it’s happening already and it’s working at scale. What are your reps being paid to do?     Here’s to my first 30 days at Second Voice! Before joining, I was teaching English under the sun, and I didn’t expect just how much that experience would prepare me for a career in sales. Here are some of the most valuable overlaps I’ve discovered: Talking With, Not At: It’s essential to engage students in dialogue rather than simply lecturing at them. Talk in their language Ensuring voices are heard, valued and truly understood — avoiding any tendency to steamroll over ideas or perspectives. Be human: A human touch in cold call sales enhances trust and engagement. By approaching calls with authenticity, sales professionals can create relatable interactions that resonate with prospects and pave the way for future business opportunities. Utilising Storytelling to Connect: In teaching, storytelling can make lessons more engaging and relatable. In sales, sharing relevant stories can help illustrate points and create a connection with clients, making the conversation more memorable and impactful. Building Trust Through Transparency: Transparency about processes fosters trust. In sales, being open about methods and strategies helps clients feel secure in our partnership and encourages honest communication.     After an awesome kickoff to the new campaign with Harry this week, I decided to jump on the phone this morning. Despite having a supportive team behind me, I’ve been feeling a bit anxious about this new project. As someone who thrives on structure and routine, it’s been a bit of a challenge for me but my nerves totally disappeared today. I ended up booking two great opportunities with Harry Jones cheering me on from the sidelines - thanks Harry! I had some insightful chats with some really great people and I’m feeling ready to tackle next week with some exciting deals already lined up. Happy Friday, everyone!     SDR Leaders, cold call with your team when you start a new campaign. 1. It’s actually quite good fun 2. Proves you can still do it 3. You can be incredibly smug when you book more opps than them. Cerys Pughsley and I have been doing this all week so she’s probably had enough of listening to my voice and my terrible jokes. On a serious note for me if I’ve got into the weeds of a campaign it makes it far easier for me to train the team moving forward. Todays it’s my turn to be Simon Cowell.     Love flexible working, and being comfortable in my own home and space! 🏡 However, I do appreciate the energy of the office when the team is together. Call me lame, but I really enjoy discussing wins and losses, and everyone talking strategy. Equally, I love it when people are having a joke and putting on their favourite tracks whilst we work (looking at you, Mr Worldwide Ben Richards 🎶). I count myself lucky to have a full team pushing us forward, but also giving us the support we need to stay confident. 🙌 Makes the days in the office easy… that, and the endless supply of biscuits 🍪 #SDRlife
