It's a big deal for us at Severn Screen to have our own in-house sustainability advisor. Tilly Ashton has done some incredible work helping us to make meaningful and significant carbon reductions on our productions. We'll be sharing much more about this in the coming weeks. Today we wanted to share this Sustainability in Wales podcast featuring Tilly. It's a nice summary of some of the improvements that have already been made in the Welsh screen production supply chain and how collaboration in the industry, with the support of Creative Wales / Cymru Greadigol, Media Cymru, Ffilm Cymru Wales and WeAreALBERT, has been so important. Looking forward to sharing this with the world. Hannah Thomas, the series producer for Ar Y Ffin, said Newport was always seen as central to the show. “I think we’re showing Newport in a really unexpected light. Visually we’ve gone after the harsh lines of the architecture. Tonally, we’ve leant into the mudflats and we’ve tried to make a show that feels urban and authentic.” Box set available on S4C Clic and BBCiPlayer from Dec 29th.
