Beginning February in style, the Showcase PSR team assembled this week for our monthly sales meeting - this time hosted by our longtime suppliers, The Senator Group. We kicked off the day with a warm welcome from Managing Director, Robert Mustoe, celebrating our ongoing partnership and exploring new ways to bring even more diverse and competitive solutions to our clients. Throughout the visit, Senator’s Corporate Sales Director Craig Gunson was on hand to share his incredible expertise, answering all our questions with his encyclopedic product knowledge! We were also treated to an exclusive sneak peek at some exciting new products set to launch soon - with thanks to brand managers Thomas Coxon and Thomas Murphy for the demos! Wrapping things up, we dove into our team meeting - a key time for the team to align on goals, share insights, and energise for the coming weeks. The Sound of ‘Near Silence’… Earlier this month, the Showcase PSR team visited Hushoffice to gain an in-depth, hands-on understanding of their advanced acoustic pods, featuring both certified Class A and Class B soundproofing technology. Our goal was to explore how these cutting-edge solutions can drastically reduce noise and create more focused, productive solutions for our clients. From testing the real-world acoustic performance to exploring the design features that promote privacy and inclusivity, the visit gave us valuable insights into how these pods can elevate our upcoming projects. What a week at Showcase PSR! Our Sales Managers Paul Miller and Lucy Pluckrose, along with Group Head of Sustainability Harry Hill, represented the team at AMA Architects in Cambridge, where Harry delivered a talk focusing on Scope 3 emissions management and shared our ongoing efforts to reduce the impact of our supply chain. Meanwhile, our Furniture Consultants Peter Crompton and Matthew Weeks attended the SOLENT PROPERTY LIMITED 'Professionals Breakfast.' They enjoyed the morning spent catching up with Ian from Ridge and Partners LLP and Daniel from KSA Architects Ltd, and discussing the latest local property market news. Another fantastic week. Yesterday, we turned Blue Monday into Brew Monday...   Whether or not you believe in the science behind Blue Monday, it gave us a great opportunity to spark conversations about mental health while encouraging our teams to move, talk, and connect.    Thanks to our incredible volunteer Walking Champions, teams across the Showcase and Showcase PSR Portsdown offices enjoyed group walks, followed by tea and chats back at the office. This month, the PSR Team can’t get enough of Nest by Connection! We’ve loved getting creative with Nest’s reconfigurable seating, storage, and space-dividing features. The hexagonal design has inspired us to create unique, functional structures in our upcoming projects... Our Area Sales Manager, Megan Hind (Whiting), says: “We have recently secured a project with Nottingham College which we are due to deliver in February. They have selected this product to create a feature storage wall in their social dining space. This building has a particular focus on nature and our surrounding landscapes, so we thought the Nest product by Connection echoed this theme with the hexagonal shapes, whilst providing a practical storage and display solution... What a fantastic day at Showcase’s World of Work Day! We were delighted to welcome clients from the Cardinal Hume Centre and connect with such a motivated and inspiring group. After touring Smithfields and introducing our various departments and their function, we gave an insightful presentation about the group. The presentation revealed values, career advice and practical tips on interview preparation. Our team appreciated the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and learn about the attendees' goals and aspirations. Events like this remind us of the power of collaboration, shared goals, and personalised support in shaping future opportunities. Kicking off 2025 with our first PSR Sales Meeting…! Our monthly team gathering started with a team catch-up at our Smithfields HQ, followed by an inspiring visit to Hushoffice, where we were introduced to their acoustic pod solutions. With an in-depth demonstration, we learned how these pods create near silence, effectively reducing distractions in the workplace. We then headed over to Flokk UK, where the team received exciting updates on their latest developments and initiatives. The day ended with a well-deserved evening toast to celebrate the successful day.
