Makers Not Just Designers.

About us

The story begins in 1976 when our Chairman Colin Mustoe began designing and manufacturing office furniture. In the early days, he would even build and deliver the products to customers himself. All these years on and although we’ve grown into one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world, we remain an independent, family-owned business. All the things that were important to us in the beginning; our attention to detail, integrity, investment in people and passion for design, are still very much running through the veins of our business today. We’re a family-owned, independently run, global design-led business. As one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers we have one core purpose, to design furniture that improves the lives of our customers. This purpose means we design furniture we believe in. It’s our objective, our benchmark. It ensures every piece of furniture we design, we care for, we question and we refine. We do all of this to ensure every piece stands the test of time.

  • Accrington Stanley Community Trust was originally established under the banner of Football in the Community in 2007, with the aim to bring the professional club and their community closer together. The Trust has expanded at a phenomenal rate, and it reached out to our Wish List scheme, in need of some comfortable furniture. “We can’t thank The Senator Group enough for the kind support it has shown to our charity in donating furniture for our community centre. As a large employer in the area, it’s great to see it support local charities through this scheme. Charity budgets are often tight, so to be able to receive top quality furniture is a blessing. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Senator for many years to come.’’ Martin Fearon, CEO, Accrington Stanley Community Trust.

🌍 Inspiring Circular Solutions The Senator Group 🌱 I had the privilege of visiting The Senator Group's incredible Sustain facility recently, thanks to an invitation from our fellow sponsors at Lancashire Wildlife Trust. A big thank you to Olivia Broughton and Andrea Lakeland for the tour and their passionate insight into The Senator Group’s pioneering approach to circularity. What struck me most was the company's commitment to completely circular solutions. Through their innovative reverse logistics system, Senator offers their customers the ability to return old or unused furniture, which is then meticulously dismantled into recyclable components. And what’s even more inspiring is that items that can no longer be used are offered to local groups in need. Their approach to packaging is brilliant, using a dot system they ensure their packaging is returned and reused 7 times over, before being recycled and made into new materials for their furniture or a second life as packaging! It was truly inspiring to witness how The Senator Group maximizes the value of every single element of the furniture – right down to the smallest offcut. The dedication to creating a truly circular economy within their operations is a powerful reminder that every resource has a second life if we just get creative with how we use it. As we move forward with making circularity a key driving force for DECORDIA, it's incredibly encouraging to see companies like The Senator Group leading the way. Their example shows that prioritizing sustainability and circular action not only benefits the environment but can drive immense rewards for the business as well. Thank you once again to The Senator Group for such an inspiring visit! 🙏 #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #GreenBusiness #CircularDesign #Innovation #WasteNot #LancashireWildlifeTrust #TheSenatorGroup #Inspiration #EnvironmentalImpact

  • As we enter a new year, our thoughts turn to our goals. This year, we're engaging with our suppliers to encourage decarbonisationand and achieve our net zero pledge. We know that working in partnership with our supply chain is the key to unlocking Scope 3 carbon emissions reductions. Only by working together can we drive sustainability within our industry

  • NEW SHOWROOM | KUALA LUMPUR | MALAYSIA Restored and rejuvenated, The Sentul Works is a premium co-working space nestled within tranquil Sentul Park, Kuala Lumpur and will soon become the home to our newest showroom. Opening in the Spring, the new showroom sits within a colonial structure that once housed railway offices. Its careful restoration is a homage to Sentul’s railway heritage while reinvigorating it as a new destination that combines a work-and-play environment. We'll keep you updated as the project progresses!
