By doing this, you can specify that you want to see all the conversations about eg. "social media marketing". You can narrow it down to just see posts from your 1st-degree connections, which is great for helping you stay engaged with more of them... ... or you can track discussions of the wider LinkedIn audience, which is a great way of engaging with an ever wider pool of potential prospects. 💷💷💷 I had an eye-watering exchange with an accountant yesterday. Each year, their firm is bringing in £millions in lifetime value of new client wins through LinkedIn. Yet, they still don't think they've "mastered" LinkedIn. I'm guessing that most of you here would think someone has mastered LinkedIn if they've got it bringing in that much new business for their firm?! My response was that LinkedIn should be thought of as a journey, rather than a destination. We can't ever get to the "destination" of having "mastered LinkedIn", as the platform is forever changing... as are the ways we use it. What we can do is learn from those who are achieving success right now and experiment with whether the things that are working for them could also work in the niche markets we serve. So, my challenge to you this week is to find someone who is really getting wins from LinkedIn and then see what elements of what they're doing might be adapted to work in your business. Some fascinating recruiting trends in this report I came across by recruiting platform provider Ashby. 💥 The threefold rise in candidate applications per job captured here is striking. 💥 As is the 40% increase in candidates being interviewed for each role. Taken in combination, that means candidates are facing more competition to secure an interview... and more competition at interview to get through to the final rounds of interview. 💥 Hires from job boards have also halved during this period, which correlates with many discussion threads I've seen here - where recruiters have been questioning whether they'll continue with their job board spend. 📣 Do you want your company brand to be more visible on LinkedIn? Well, here's the trick... Focus on using the personal profiles of you and your team to get your company brand out there! Why? ⚠️ The LinkedIn algorithm doesn't give much visibility to company posts compared to posts from individuals ⚠️ So if you put all your efforts into building a company page and sharing posts via the company page, you'll only reach a modest audience. vs. Putting that same effort into getting your company brand shared by individual team members will multiply your visibility and results!
