The Spring team deliver another successful project at Salisbury House Finsbury Circus for Workspace Group. Circa 10,000 sqft of office space has been reconfigured to provide 19 individual office units, communal kitchen spaces, phone booths and new WCs with heritage flooring retained and incorporated into the design. Oh we do love a good walk-and-talk here at Spring. Yesterday we were shooting the breeze in the late summer sun whilst wandering around the stunning countryside of Marlow.   We find it to be such a nice, civilised way to not only talk shop but more importantly check in with each other, sharing what’s going on in all our busy lives.   T'was a lovely 12 mile walkabout through fields and woods, with kites keeping us company overhead in azure blue skies. We mostly didn’t get too lost and managed to locate our lunchtime café stop at Marlow Air Park and more importantly the Rebellion Beer Company’s brewery on the home stretch for a bit of rehydration.   Finishing off with sundowners on the waterfront and filling up on lovely French cuisine before making our way home tired but very content - tres bon.   Special thanks to Gail for organising such a wonderful day and (sort of) keeping us on the walking route.   We're already looking forward to our next wander! 

The Spring team continues to grow! We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Harry Wilsdon. Harry joins us as an Associate, bringing with him a strong diverse background in real estate, with 13 years of experience across the public and private sectors. After five years client-side at GPE Plc, where he predominantly oversaw delivery of asset protection and modernisation works and Cat B fitout works across a prime Central London portfolio, he's returning to consultancy to leverage his client-side insights and help us deliver exceptional results. Welcome to the team, Harry!

We had the pleasure of the company of two second-year university students recently when Lily Chadburn- Cooke and Oscar Chessells joined us for some work shadowing. From feasibility and PM site meetings to planned maintenance programme inspections, and from Mayfair to Portsmouth via Welwyn Garden City and the Spring Golf Day, we hope we managed to show them the breadth of opportunities a career in surveying brings and we wish them all the best for their final year. We’ll be continuing with our careers outreach programme in October when we’ll be attending Kingston University’s Autumn Career Festival.

Michael acquired his building surveying degree at Reading before working for a built environment consultancy and setting up his own e-commerce business. We were delighted to host our fourth annual golf day at Farleigh Golf Club last week. Thanks again to everyone who came along for making it such an enjoyable day, with an extra special mention to the golf buggy drinks crew for doing an excellent job keeping everyone cool.

It was great to get the Spring families back together for our annual summer party on Saturday. Weather was a mixed bag but that certainly didn’t dampen spirits, with plenty of laughter had by all. Albury Estate’s Weston Fishing Lakes was such a wonderful setting last year that we had to go back again this year - it's an idyllic spot, perfect for sitting back and shooting the breeze. We got to meet baby Reagan Brown at last and also introduce new Spring work colleagues to our better halves and wee ones. A grand day with some pretty exhausted children for the drive home!
