Project Complete! Britannia Street has reached completion successfully with our H&K Epsom team having performed the last of the snagging checks on Friday! Collaborating closely with Stanton Williams, Belshaw Building Consultancy, Evolve Consulting Engineers and several other members of the design team, we have transformed this once bustling gallery into a spacious, bright and stylish office space with a mezzanine level; which not only expands the area but also preserves its artistic ambiance. Our team was responsible for the mechanical and electrical design, including a new sub-station up to Stage 4 of the project. The main drive of the project was to achieve an EPC rating of 'A' using low carbon technologies. With new electrical and mechanical systems in place, we have successfully created a low-carbon office building for all to enjoy. Working with such a talented team has been a pleasure and we eagerly anticipate seeing this beautifully revamped space come to life and serve its new purpose. #OfficeConversion #MEPServices #MEPDesign Virtus, Clearbell Capital LLP

Yesterday, we joined forces with Belshaw Building Consultancy to host a roundtable discussion with our mutual client, focusing on contractor insolvency. We delved into its impact on the funding of a development, as well as its progress and completion. I particularly enjoyed this session because of the diverse expertise brought to the table. It's the wider conversations like this that yield the best advice for our clients. There is never just one view on these deals, and that is the beauty of working in commercial law. For some very high-level key thoughts for developers and funders: 🛠 Relationships on-site are crucial. 💷 It is critical to comply with the payment mechanism in the building contract and to sensibly value the works as the project progresses. ✒ Getting the legal documents in place at the outset (contracts, collateral warranties, bonds, insurance) is very important and saves headaches later (yes, the collateral warranties are important 😉 !). 🖍 Copyright clauses ensure that you still have access to design documents. Following a very sunny walk through the royal parks in London, we are delighted to announce that we have raised over £50,000! 👏 This huge amount will provide over 15,000 mental health webinars and 4000 in-person workshops for parents and carers supporting young people with opening up the conversation around mental health. We’re (Inco Contracts) in the process of undertaking a dilapidation refurbishment scheme for Belshaw Building Consultancy to two industrial units in Runcorn, and it was great to check in on site whilst the sun was shining for a change yesterday and review the fantastic progress after just three days on site!
