This October Spring Drive booked 8 meetings in around 2 weeks for a client. This is a lesson on pain-timing. Most of them came from 2 segments (we have 6 in total for this campaign). For one of the segments it was just a great use case for a relevant ICP. But the other I found interesting. We messaged agencies about a pain that wasn't just hyper-specific - it was time-specific. What do I mean by this: The pain was something that had popped up and got their industry talking over the last few months. Almost like a trend. (no btw, its not deliverability to email agencies lol). But it got me thinking - resonance isn't just about relevance, its also about timing. No, not triggers - that's a separate type of timing. But pain timing. And it breeds another layer of research. Not just horizontal layer of research on an ICP (which is crucial btw) - what are their pains, problems, triggers etc. But also - what's happening right NOW in their space. I don't think this is a necessity of messaging strategy, but I do think it adds dimensions to how you can resonate over and above your competitors. Spring Drive out.
