  • We are thrilled to share the journey and transformation, so far, at Horizon 29. In 2012, St Francis Group and ALMCOR formed a new joint venture and took the bold step of acquiring Horizon 29, a former Coalite manufacturing plant and a highly contaminated and complex brownfield site. The site was expertly remediated by DSM Demolition who worked meticulously under the guidance of the Environment Agency and the Local Authority.   Fast forward to Q4 2021, when a significant milestone was achieved, as a large portion of Horizon 29 was sold to Bentall Green Oak & Equation Properties, who began construction in Q3 2022 of new warehouse and logistics buildings, driving forward the site's transformation and regeneration. Simultaneously, the Joint Venture committed to deliver new offices and a state-of-the-art warehouse for Peak Pharmacy, and in Q2 2022 construction began.  By Q2 2023, these facilities were completed, marking another significant achievement for Horizon 29. Further enabling works have been instrumental in this journey, including a S278 Agreement with Derbyshire County Council, a S104 Agreement with Yorkshire Water, and comprehensive improvements to the local utilities network. These efforts have ensured that Horizon 29 is not only ready for today but is well prepared for the future. Phase 1 at Horizon 29 is already above 50% occupancy and stands as a beacon of what can be accomplished through vision, partnership, and perseverance, and there are more exciting opportunities to be a part of. For occupiers seeking either land or a build to suit opportunity, we have over 12 acres coming forward on Plot 4c. Marketing of this exciting opportunity will commence in Q3 2024.     Our construction partner GMI Construction Group PLC continues to make great progress at the #Urban8 Logistics Park in Kings Norton.     I was immensely proud to represent DSM Demolition Limited & St Francis Group at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust to celebrate a fantastic achievement. We are delighted to be part of this and the positive impact it will have on patients, families, and staff. Looking forward to 2024 and working in collaboration with fellow Changemakers.

    We're thrilled to announce, almost a year to the day after it first launched, we have reached the £1.5m target in our iMRI Appeal to bring an intraoperative MRI scanner to our hospital to transform brain surgery! 🎉 On behalf of our hospital, charity, patients and families, thank you to everyone who donated, fundraised and helped spread the word about this appeal. This includes our brilliant Changemakers, who contributed over a third of the appeal total, and joined us at our hospital today for the announcement. 🙌 Thanks to you all, we will be able to transform surgery for our brain tumour and epilepsy patients, as the iMRI will provide our surgeons with ‘live’ information about the position of the tumour right when they need it the most. Work is currently ongoing on a brand-new elective care hub at our hospital, which will house a new theatre and the iMRI. Building is expected to be complete, and the iMRI in clinical use, in spring 2025.     On the 27th April DSM Demolition Limited and St Francis Group CEO Rob Braid will be taking on the extremely challenging Race the Sun Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) for Action Medical Research. Rob will start with a 30 mile cycle, followed by a 9 mile hike and then finish with a 2 mile paddle. We wish Rob the best of luck and appreciate every donation.
