💚 Here for #WorldMentalHealthDay 💚 Celebrated every year on 10 October, WMHD was created to raise awareness of, and drive positive change for, everyone’s mental health. It’s a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling. The theme this year, set by the organisers the World Foundation of Mental Health, is: “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace”. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of all of us - the employees and the organisation. Talking about our mental health can help us cope better with all of life’s ups and downs. At Stonewater we have lots of resources in place to help support employees and we try to make it as easy as possible to talk about mental health. We have; 💚 A whole team of trained and qualified Mental Health First Aiders 💚An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) where you can get help with access to mental health support and counselling 💚Learning directory full of resources to help us understand mental wellbeing and how to help 💚Networking groups leading policy and workplace change and allyship for everyone to be able to be their wholeselves at work 💚Support networks for grief, carers, menopause and more A mentally healthy workplace is a thriving workplace. Let’s keep the conversation going to combat poor mental health and burnout and foster working environments where everyone can flourish. Check in with your friends, family, peers, and colleagues? And above all else, be kind. It makes such a difference. 💚 https://lnkd.in/e34a5Acd for anyone who thinks this sounds like a great place to work. #DiscoverStonewater #MentalHealthMatters #WMHD24 #GoodToTalk #BeKind

#FeelgoodFriday We're proud to partner with Longleigh Foundation. From grant making and research to budgeting and financial advice, and access to wellbeing support, we are lucky to be able to draw on such a wealth of services. This story is a fantastic example of the difference they make - Congratulations Longleigh and Dayne. #opportunities #grantmaking #partnership #steppingstone #longleighfoundation
Longleigh's Impact: Our Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) grant is all about giving people the tools to succeed, removing barriers, and creating opportunities to thrive. That’s exactly what happened when Dayne Donegan, founder of Evolving Mentoring, came across an article about Longleigh in a Stonewater resident newsletter. He knew it was the perfect opportunity he needed to make a real difference. With support from Stonewater and Longleigh Foundation, Dayne evolved from a teaching assistant to running his own youth mentoring service which helps young people find their path, realise their potential and make a real impact! Dayne shares “Longleigh’s support wasn’t just a boost; it set the wheels in motion. I’m excited about the future and look forward to reaching even more young people.” Read more about Dayne's story and the impact our ETE grant can have on the communities we serve. At this week's Labour Conference issues at the heart of solving the housing crisis are hot topics. In the latest On The Air episode, the first in the Stepping into a New Era of Social Housing series, host Paula Palmer talks to Alistair Smyth, Director of Policy & Research at National Housing Federation about its 3-step plan for increasing long-term certainty and confidence for the sector. 🌟 National Inclusion Week 2024: Impact Matters 🌟 This National Inclusion Week, we celebrate the theme "Impact Matters," highlighting the profound positive impact each individual can make in the workplace. Inclusion goes beyond diversity metrics—it's about ensuring everyone feels valued, accepted, and heard. ✅ Bringing your authentic self to work - whether that be your circumstances that day or your way of life. Family friendly policies, green days, support networks and health and wellbeing hub. ✅ Colleague network groups that make a difference, shaping policy and offering a safe place for colleagues. Race and gender equality, disability and LGBTQ network groups, menopause, men's, grief and carer's listening groups that not only support colleagues day to day but also drive change at Stonewater. ✅ Routes into Stonewater: promoting a career in housing for all, finding creative ways to engage customers and people from underrepresented groups who may not know or possibly consider Stonewater as a potential employer. The project will offer engagement through external support organisations or community organisations. #InclusionMatters #NationalInclusionWeek2024 #DiversityAndInclusion #Leadership #InclusiveWorkplaces #ImpactMatters #BringYourWholeSelfToWork https://lnkd.in/dgDJY85
