Today’s the day 🎉 Bromford and Flagship have joined to become Bromford Flagship. A simple name, but one set to break the mould of what housing associations do and unlock more capacity for affordable homes.

Bromford Flagship has finalised a new £100 million Revolving Credit Facility (RCF) with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). The facility expands the liquidity position of our 80,000-home housing association, giving a total RCF portfolio of £850 million, the majority of which is undrawn. This funding will help finance our ambitions to increase the development of new homes in the future, including a significant proportion for social rent, building upon our combined legacy in 2023-2034 as one the country’s largest builders of social rent homes. Every community is different, which is why it’s so important to listen and respond to local needs. In Perton, colleagues recently worked alongside the community after listening to concerns about waste, litter, and untidy spaces. By bringing together customers, local police, and partners, everyone played a part in improving the area, creating a cleaner, safer environment and a greater sense of pride. We’ve secured land for 179 new homes- and there’s more to come. Contracts are progressing to acquire land for over 1,000 additional homes, with agreements aiming to be completed by March 2025, helping us meet the growing demand for affordable housing. As we continue to grow, we’re also looking at how we build, exploring Modern Methods of Construction to speed up delivery and reduce our environmental impact. Our first-ever Be You conference brought together over 50 colleagues from our champion groups (Race and Faith, LGBTQIA+, Age and Gender, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Disability and Carers, Menopause, Armed Forces, and Be.Heard) to collaborate and shape our future EDI plan.     From tailoring services to meet diverse customer needs to analysing our workforce and gathering colleague feedback, we're taking a proactive approach. The external panel discussion with Camilla Barnes, Oke Eleazu and Laura Hewett on the future of EDI and our focus on action and impact, further demonstrates our dedication to progress.  The conference highlighted our focus on action and impact, building upon existing work to co-create the Be You roadmap for 2025/26. We're calling on our colleagues to join the movement as members or allies – a powerful way to foster inclusivity and drive positive change within Bromford.  #UKHousing

How do you think real-world data can shape the future of retrofitting? Bromford is working with Lloyds Corporate & Institutional and Senze to pilot Senze’s digital twin and sensor technology across a selection of our homes. This project will gather energy performance and emissions data to compare with EPC modelling, helping us better understand actual energy efficiency. By sharing our findings with other's in the social housing sector, the aim is to highlight the benefits of incorporating real-world data into retrofit evaluations.
