Works completed at our Pottern House project for the Duchy of Cornwall. Located near the village of Priston a few miles outside Bath, the site has incredible views over the surrounding countryside. The building was originally a terrace of 19thcentury farm workers cottages but has more recently been used as a pig barn and become partially ruined. The project saw the restoration of the building, to create a low-carbon family home that recreates the external appearance of the original terrace. The cottage gardens will be reinstated and include new apple orchards and vegetable patches. Studio Lime are delighted to announce that our new hydrogen fuel cell laboratory (HyDUS) has been successfully handed over at The University of Bristol. The new facility will provide accommodation for a collaborative project involving EDF UK, the University of Bristol, Urenco and UKAEA, researching grid scale storage. The aim of the project is to develop new technologies that will help balance fluctuations in the supply of energy from renewables such as wind and solar to help decarbonise the national grid.
