Subsea7’s Energy Transition Director, Ingunn Kalve, shared an optimistic view of the future of #OffshoreWind in Norway, at ‘Den Store Havvindkvelden’ during #Arendalsuka. “Norway has the potential to become a global leader in offshore wind,” said Kalve. “Subsea7 has built a substantial offshore wind business, primarily through Seaway7 which has supported successful delivery of some 12GW of offshore wind production capacity - enough to power over 14 million European homes. “We are dedicated to the #EnergyTransition, including ensuring the sustainable future of offshore wind supported by our decades-long experience and expertise, advanced technology, robust maritime fleet and port facilities. During Arendalsuka, Kalve participated in a panel discussion with Anders Hannevik, SVP Special Projects at Aker Solutions. Communications manager at Offshore Norge, Maria Sanner, moderated the event. Arendalsuka is Norway’s premier annual gathering for business, politicians, and engaged citizens, hosts around 2000 events and 200 stands across Arendal. #MakePossible

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve secured a new contract from Petrobras, for two ultra-deepwater projects offshore Brazil. The agreement will see Petrobras acquire our standardized pre-salt subsea production systems and related services to be deployed in the prolific Santos Basin.   “This award deepens our valued partnership with Petrobras, and we are proud to be supporting the development of such important assets to Brazil” says our CEO, Mads Hjelmeland. “Leveraging our proven, locally developed technology platform facilitates on-time delivery and maximizes local content from our Brazilian manufacturing and service facilities”.    The contract covers vertical trees, subsea distribution units, subsea control systems and pipeline systems, along with related installation, commissioning and life-of-field services. Much of the technology and equipment to be deployed, including the vertical trees and subsea control systems, will be produced and serviced locally at our facilities in Brazil. 🇧🇷 We’re excited to grow our partnership with Petrobras as a result of this award! 💪🏼 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/epK9AjRM

Pushing the boundaries of subsea technology. Subsea7 has completed the first successful offshore trial of an initiative to eliminate hydraulic leaks in subsea diving operations through the development of advanced electric tools. As originator of the idea , Subsea7 partnered with iMPAQ TECHNOLOGIES, a small Scottish specialist in subsea electric innovation, who developed an innovative electrically-powered grinder/cutter tool for divers, designed to replace the traditional hydraulic tool. In June 2024, a prototype was tested by saturation divers at 141m depth in the North Sea and demonstrated excellent performance in setup, handling and power. Subsea7 and Impaq will continue collaborating to finalise the tool’s development and have plans for further testing on other Subsea7 dive vessels. This initiative showcases Subsea7’s commitment to sustainable delivery, striving to increase performance and efficiency, and shorten operation times for our clients. #ImpaqTechnologies #MakePossible #SubseaTechnology

Exciting News! 🌍 We've secured a new contract from TotalEnergies for the Kaminho project, offshore Angola. We’ll provide 13 SPS well-sets plus associated equipment and services, helping to advance the Cameia and Golfinho discoveries. “We are excited for this opportunity to unlock the large potential of the Kaminho project together with TotalEnergies,” said Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of OneSubsea. “Our collaborative contract model enables us to leverage both standardization and highly configurable subsea production platforms, creating greater efficiencies and long-term value for this and future projects in Angola and around the world.” The Kaminho project is the first large deepwater development in the Kwanza basin, opening up a new energy source frontier for Angola. Designed to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and eliminate routine flaring, the project will fully re-inject the associated gas into the reservoirs. Production start-up is expected in 2028, with a plateau of 70,000 barrels of oil per day. 👏 Equally important, the project will involve over 10 million man-hours in Angola, mainly with offshore operations and construction at local yards. We at OneSubsea will play a significant role in these positive ripple effects, including local assembly, manufacturing of modules, installation, commissioning, and life-of-field services. Stay tuned as we continue to drive the new subsea era of innovation and sustainability in offshore energy. 🚀 Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eKSbERiw #SubseaTechnology #OffshoreOperations #EnergyInnovation

Since the 1970s, Subsea7, through our legacy companies, has pioneered Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). These are unmanned vehicles fitted with customised remote tools designed for specific subsea tasks, such as inspecting, maintaining, and repairing subsea structures. At the forefront of remote intervention, innovation and technology, Subsea7’s expertise flourished and we won Pipeline Industries Guild’s International Award for Innovative Subsea Pipeline Technology in 2010 for an ROV-based pipeline repair on Total’s Girassol field in Angola at a water depth of 1,350 metres. Today we are leading experts in global inspection, repair and maintenance, integrity management, drill rig support, production enhancement and decommissioning support services. Our autonomous subsidiary #4Subsea adopts the same spirit of pioneering innovation, breaking new ground, and helping drive #EnergyTransition innovation through a powerful synergy of: • Deep domain expertise in engineering • Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and monitoring • Cutting-edge digital solutions By integrating wave-vessel models, data analytics, digital twins, machine learning, and AI, 4Subsea provides critical decision support for oil and gas and offshore wind operators. This holistic approach enables clients to maximise asset lifetime, reduce costs, maintain operability, drive sustainability, and optimise future projects. 4Subsea's fusion of engineering knowledge, sensor technology, and digital innovation delivers actionable insights transforming the industry.
