Great to visit the Meridian Water site today, where Taylor Woodrow is delivering the strategic infrastructure to support 10,000 new homes. It was especially exciting to see one of our three tipper grabs in action, backfilling the district heat network—an essential system that will provide low-carbon heat and hot water to homes and businesses in the area. The network design has been futureproofed to serve up to 30,000 homes, allowing even more households to benefit from a 93.2% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional gas boilers. Thank you Charlie Corner for showing me round the high quality works happening here and well done Taylor Woodrow with Proven Project Construction for continuing to drive sustainable development 🏗️🌱👷🏽♀️♻️

Ok Building Futures Together: How Taylor Woodrow and Growth Path Empower Young Talent A Day in the Life of a Taylor Woodrow Site Manager: At Taylor Woodrow, social value means creating positive, sustainable societal impacts through the delivery of our work to benefit people and communities. Recently, one of our Sprint site managers, Matt Haddock, shared an insightful look into his career journey with a group of young people eager to explore career opportunities in the construction industry. During a session hosted by Growth Path - a brilliant charity dedicated to providing opportunities for hard-to-reach young people in Birmingham - Matt recounted his personal journey into construction. He candidly discussed the challenges he faced and overcame, emphasizing that his passion, hard work, and drive enabled him to break through barriers and build a successful career. His story resonated deeply with many of the young people, particularly those from similar backgrounds, as he reminded them that formal qualifications are only one part of the picture. Ultimately, what matters most is resilience, determination, and the willingness to view obstacles as hurdles to overcome rather than dead-ends. From Work Experience to Part-Time Employment: Charlotte Marriott’s story is a powerful testament to Taylor Woodrow’s holistic approach to social value and our commitment to getting women into construction. Mentored by our outstanding social value apprentice, Maisie Haddock-Garey, Charlotte was introduced to us through Growth Path - a charity dedicated to providing opportunities for young people. This determined young mother began her journey with a two-week work experience placement on our Sprint Phase 2. Her exceptional dedication and emerging talent led to an extension of her placement, clearly demonstrating the significant impact of nurturing potential and supporting underrepresented talent in the industry. Her impressive performance earned her a paid part-time position as an Operative with Taylor Woodrow. Along with gaining valuable hands-on experience on site, Charlotte is receiving support to further her education - studying for her English and Maths qualifications and will receive support with learning to drive. This tailored approach not only hones her practical skills but also lays the foundation for long-term success in the construction industry.   Outcomes: Matt’s inspiration, Maisie's mentoring and Charlotte’s transformative journey emphasises Taylor Woodrow’s dedication to social value. By fostering a culture of mentorship, hands-on learning, and continuous personal development. This ethos drives excellence on our construction sites and builds stronger, more resilient communities for the future. • International Women's Day 2025 celebrates Rights, Equality, and Empowerment for ALL Women and Girls. 🎉 Check out some of the fantastic events hosted by our teams: Pooja Godhania from our Meridian Water project led an engaging International Women’s Day Panel featuring Yemi Aladerun (Enfield Council), Marina Nicole Read (nee Hosking) (Cognition Land and Water Limited), Aaliyah Brown Murphy (Cognition Land and Water Limited), and Simon Milligan and Yvonne Ainsworth (Taylor Woodrow). They shared their life experiences and how their backgrounds shaped them, highlighted the qualities needed to be a leader, and offered advice to young people in the construction industry. After answering audience questions, the team enjoyed a selection of delicious cakes! 🎂   Did you know that while the average proportion of female staff in the construction industry is 14%, at Meridian Water, it’s an impressive 26%—nearly double the industry average! 💪 Hollie Salmons, Rose Harley, and Magdalena Maciejewska (representing the women at Bletchley Depot) delivered a brief session on the importance of representing women in construction. The team then took part in a mini quiz based on the session and engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on improving representation in the industry and progression into senior roles for women. 🛠️👷♀️ A huge thank you to all our teams for celebrating this incredible day! #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #WomeninConstruction

  • We’re excited to share the success of our week-long trial of JCB’s hydrogen-powered Loadall telehandler on our Sprint - Phase 2 project which is being carried out by the Taylor Woodrow Civils North team! The team are carrying out works on a bus route, which is being built for Transport for West Midlands and the West Midlands Combined Authority, it will be used in part by zero-emission hydrogen-powered buses, that will take passengers from the airport, into the city and beyond.   Stuart Townsend, Operations Manager for Taylor Woodrow Civils North shared: “The hydrogen Loadall has been doing everything, from loading our vehicles, taking materials that are required to our sites and unloading deliveries. It’s a huge step forward for us. Our goal is by 2030 for a 40% reduction in carbon emissions and we’re well on the way. We’ve gone from electric cars and now our commercial vehicles are upgrading to electric. We have solar power on the site for our CCTV and our lighting. Zero carbon machinery is 100% the way we need to be.”   This innovation is a huge step forward in our commitment to reducing carbon emissions. Leyton Tube station is getting a major upgrade ✨🚇 For the first time, the station will have step-free access via two new lifts and an overbridge, supporting the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan's goal of 50% step-free Tube stations. The upgrade, delivered by TWBN (a joint venture between Taylor Woodrow and BAM UK & Ireland), will also include a larger ticket hall with additional gates to ease congestion and accommodate future demand. With thousands of new homes nearby, this jointly funded upgrade will boost capacity, accessibility, and customer experience. The work is planned to start in mid-February and is expected to be completed in spring 2027.

    • A group of approximately 30 individuals posed on the platform of Leyton Underground station. They are arranged in front of a sign with the roundel logo and the name "Leyton." The participants wear various outfits, including coats and jackets. In the background, there are trees and a fence, and the overhead sky is overcast.
    • A group of eight people posed for a photo at Leyton station. In the foreground, a man in an orange hi-vis jacket and helmet stands next to a younger man in a white jacket. The group includes five men in business attire and a woman in a black coat. The background features the Leyton station sign and the London Underground's red and white train.
